Dexter's really getting sloppy with his kills.

Jesus, he wasn't even wearing gloves in that goofball's house. Never mind doing a killsite at the guy's house AFTER he was seen with him. And leaves a witness...

Oh, and does anyone else think Deb is going to start lezzin' out with that lady cop?

1. Deb the nympho has been shooting down Quinn.
2. That latina cop is easy on the eyes.
3. She's been hanging around a lot, so there's some kind of arc there.

More sloppiness: Dexter also left fingerprints in Boyd's truck, and he didn't realize he was armed with a tranquilizer gun.

The witness problem is a new dilemma for him since he doesn't believe in harming innocent people, at least not intentionally. This promises to be a great story arc.

Yeah he looked more like Miguel Prado

I was thinking the same thing.

that was an interesting way to introduce julia stiles' character. dexter is getting sloppy. that tranq scene was hilarious.

Its still kind of early to make predictions but I highly doubt this season will be as good as last season.
I was hoping Boyd was going to be around for a few more episodes

Wait, Julia Styles was the victim?

Yes. Not knowing anything about her role in this season, it was a surprise for me. Great way to introduce a character.

Yeah, I was worried she was going to be the housekeeper at first and there be some lame romance thing there.

well, i kind of gathered what might happen when i read that Julia Stiles' character and Dexter shared a deep, dark secret. figured it had to be something related to Dexter's murders. i wonder how they will keep her around. maybe Dexter will keep her as a sex slave!

Agree, great way to introduce her.

Also, the show can't last too much if Dexter continues to be that sloppy.

So was Boyd going to try an do Dexter in, or did he just happen to have the dart gun handy for the possible alligator and he was that fast with his reflexes after getting injected?

He just had it for the gator. He mentioned they were dangerous because sometimes they aren't dead and, as far as we know, all his other victims were women.

Re: Dexter -- "Practically Perfect" -- 10/10/10

And that's another sign that Dexter was sloppy. It seems the first sedative wasn't strong enough since Boyd was able to shoot the dart gun. Most of the times they fall instantly, as in the second try, and Dexter can start working on them.

I didn't the feeling they were going that way, and I hope they don't. I agree that the latina cop is pretty cute.

Dexter's definitely getting sloppy, but we've seen him be sloppy in previous episodes - and Harry (in his head) mentioned it.

Sloppy... Dexter left the pics of the dead women at the killsite while he was going after Boyd. If someone stumbled upon the site during that time, the pics of the dead women could've prompted a call to the police - which increases the chances (however slight) of leading back to Dexter. The plastic alone wouldn't neccessarily raise any alarm bells... pics of dead women in that setting definitely would have.

The ending really makes things interesting, as well as Trinity's family linking Kyle Butler to Dexter.

It looks like the nanny is in for some serious overtime...

Is Deb still living with Dexter and Harrison at the apartment? Won't she eventually come home that night and wonder why Dexter is not home yet?

well if you watched the preview for the next episode
Spoiler:
it looks like he keeps Julia Stiles there, because it would appear she escapes from that location.

Sorry, I always avoid watching previews for the following episodes of shows... it just gives away too much info. Thanks for using spoiler tags.

Is it just me, or did the Animal Control guy live in Lyon Estates from Back To The Future? Looked like the house could be two doors down from Marty's. Those big distinctive power lines in the background.

Good episode, but on a character related note, I like how Dexter totally killed two innocent dudes in the last month or so and absolutely does not give a shit about it. Uh...?

Damn I thought that looked like her but didn't know it was actually her. Decent episode in the first 2/3 but the last 1/3 really upped the ante. Next week looks great.

Besides the kids, Rita, Harry and Deb, Dexter never really cares about anyone.
