So we're doing season threads now rather than episode-by-episode threads?

Also, the anal-retentive in me can't help but point out that Thursdays, plural, shouldn't have an apostrophe in it. If you're going to do this for a lot of shows with the day of the week in the title, we need to nip that in the bud right now!

...Okay thanks. I'm choosing to do season threads for the low interest/but still watched procedurals that don't get alot of action here. I still watch these and comment when I get a chance, but in the long run 22-24 weeks of this with only 2-5 comments isn't worth it to do them weekly. I would say 70-80% of the time, most of you won't have a damn thing to say about a random episode of Bones unless there is some kind of connected story arc. I still do episode to episode threads on alot of other shows and a few other more higher profile procedurals.

That's cool. I guess I haven't really been paying attention to which shows get a lot of comments versus the ones that don't (apart from the obvious, popular shows). I'm just happy there are "Bones" threads!

Re: Bones -- The 6th season thread -- Thursday's on FOX

I'm a new fan of the series and watched seasons 1-4 on Netflix instant watch this summer. I went ahead and watched the last episode of season 5 so I could kind of be "caught up" for season 6. I'll rent/watch season 5 when it's released on DVD.

Re: Bones -- The 6th season thread -- Thursday's on FOX

Tonight's episode was interesting. Booth's new girl is indeed hot, but she can't act. Still, there are worse things then having a Scarlett Johansson look-alike showing up on the show.

Speaking of look-alikes, I loved the running gag with the victim's sketch looking like George Clooney, even though the actual sketch didn't look like Clooney at all.

The only problem with the episode was that the actual mystery was pretty weak. The killer was pretty obvious from the start.

Re: Bones -- The 6th season thread -- Thursday's on FOX

David Boreanaz must have a hand in the guest casting on this show, because the number of guest actors from Buffy and Angel is ridiculous to be pure coincidence, including both tonight's episode and last week's premiere.

Of course my mentioning that is frowned upon for some bullshit reason around here.

for seasonal threads for low traffic shows. Some shows I only have a comment every few episodes but it's not worth starting a thread over.

The Clooney gag was pretty good, but I agree about the killer. The moment he showed up at Booth's office I thought it was him. Then again, Bones' mysteries are usually pretty weak.

The best was when Brennan interrupts Booth and does her "posturing" Guido pose in the dance club. That had me on the floor.

They couldn't even film it at Seaside? I'm having trouble getting through this episode because it just seems cheesy.

Re: Bones -- The 6th season thread -- Thursday's on FOX

More funny stuff this week with David Alan Grier as a Bill Nye type scientist. I don't want to see him as part of the regular intern rotation, but as a one-off spot he was pretty good.

Loved how he was finally able to win Bones over by the end of the episode. And they actually made it kind of touching with Bones actually getting into being on the kids show.

Also note, this show will be off for the next 3 weeks for FOX's MLB coverage. New episodes resume 11/11

This season of Bones has been quite fun, I like how they are flipping the script on "procedurals" so far.

I liked DAG's appearance too, but Bones dancing around at the end was completely out of character.

Re: Bones -- The 6th season thread -- Thursday's on FOX

Anyone see last night's episode?

The death of
Spoiler:
the Gravedigger
had to be one of the more graphic moments of violence I can remember seeing on TV. Something I'd expect from an R-rated war movie. Not complaining, but I wasn't expecting it either.

I felt the same way. Very graphic for network TV. Great episode though.

This show has always been far more graphic than any of the CSIs has ever been. I must admit that scene of the 'event' was shocking, disgusting, and awesome all at once.
