That was pretty strange, though not as strange as him banging a girl who propositioned him after delivering a baby less than 24 hours ago.

While holding the baby and breast feeding.

I'm not sure why they made her character be in to it, other than to show she may be a bit peculiar herself.

I thought the show was pretty strong overall. I was a bit surprised with the ending, but I guess it fits. That's where he couldn't keep it up any longer, so that was the end.

I would guess this is a one and done type of show which probably fits best. I would hope Cross would look to do another project on IFC though.
Well that doesn't exactly explain brushing teeth at the table, eating plates and printing deserts....

I know Amber Tamblyn was in this show but I dont ever recall seeing her. Who did she play? Was Dave the one behind hiring Wilts?

She played Todd's "girlfriend" back in the States. She was in the the first episode and another short scene in another episode. Todd also looked at pictures of the two of them in this last episode, where she looked to be either passed out or drugged.

They're actually parodying that movement. Like there is a trend now of "deconstructed" food, where instead of having an entrée on a plate, you have all the individual elements, but not put together. Or "art" food, which seems to be more about how the food actually looks than what it tastes like.

Watch Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" a few times, you'll see a few of these places. One notable one was where the chef created a plate designed to look like roadkill.

That is good news. Makes more sense with the "9 days earlier" etc. He mentioned in the Q&A linked earlier that they had already figured out where things would go if the show would get picked up again.

Really good end to a great first season. I can't wait for the second season.

I figured they would have the police show up to Todd's apartment and it be all bloody, but never expected his neighbor and Wilts to be having sex, in addition to blood. What did that box (Alice Rape Kit) say before Todd cleaned it off and removed some of the writing? I can't remember.

Todd's dad showing up at the end was icing on the cake.

I love how every time Todd tells anyone he is American he also throws "but I spent my summers in Leeds" on at the end.

I'm waiting for the liquor license to come back into the picture as well.

Obviously we aren't supposed to know everything just yet, but we do know that the person who called Brent Wilts and offered him the position was Dave. We know this because Brent Wilts told Doug Whitney (Spike Jonze) that someone named Milfred called him up and offered him the position. At the very end of the episode, the chauffeur called Dave, Mr. Milfred. So obviously there's more going on than meets the eye.

Will be very interesting to see where they go in the second season.

I really dug this show, I'm bummed though because I thought we had one more episode to go this season. I hope it got renewed as it's managed to recapture the awkward humor of the original UK Office and Extras which I loved.

The last episode was the best of the season. The deaf tour was so wrong, but so funny.

Awesome news!
Am I the only one who also loves the theme song to the show (by none other than the great Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr)? Definitely has a great Smiths sound to it! If you google around the IFC website has a nice MPEG4 audio download of it which I was pumped to find.

Great! I'm looking forward to some even poorer judgment and decisions and acted out by Cross and company.

I'm rewatching series 1 now, and I think that is a reference to her their "date." She is seen complaining to her friend that she needs to get laid because she hasn't had any for months (while Todd is confessing about having a girl back home as he is buying condoms). Her girlfried asks about Todd ("What about the crying one?"), and she replies that she was passed out from drinking cough syrup, so it didn't really count.

Also when Todd hired the snooker player (Steve Davis) as spokesman and he told Dave he needed to phone the main office, at that same moment Dave's cell phone rang and he said he had to take it and walked away before answering.

You won't win an argument by raping her.

Re: The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret - IFC Fridays 10e/9c

I watched all seven episodes over the weekend and the show gets funnier with each episode. I wasn't feeling the first couple, but started to get into it with the third episode.

What's is Dave's angle here? Rich guy screwing with the working class? And Jon Hamm sure has a lot of comedy friends in Hollywood - 30 Rock, SNL/Bridesmaids, Children's Hospital, Robot Chicken, now Todd Margaret?
