Loved the opener. Granted, it wasn't nearly as funny as the S1 opener, and Deep Roy gets annoying really quick, but there were some great Powers-isms in there that had me rolling. "Saxophone player from Lost Boys" is one of the greatest lines this show has ever produced. I can't wait to see the rest of this season.

Re: Eastbound and Down -- The 2nd season thread -- Premieres 09/26/10

The Season 2 premiere of "Eastbound & Down" posted big gains for HBO.

The Danny McBride comedy returned to 1.7 million viewers Sunday, 150% higher than its Season 1 premiere. It is great news for HBO, though not hugely surprising given the show's snowballing cult status among fans and clever relocation of the setting to Mexico.

"Eastbound" improved greatly on its lead-in "Bored to Death" (1.1 million), which was up 2% compared with last year.

...

If you include their first repeats, "Bored" had 1.5 million and "Eastbound" had 2 million.

I just don't see how these hot women are even remotely attracted to Kenny. I can see if he were still at the top of his game in the big leagues, but now he's a broke and fat ex-baseball player with nothing going for him.

I'm really going to miss Katy Mixon.... nice combo of hot and cute.

Women are dumb thats why they are attracted to him. They dont notice that he is a fat loser, they just notice the crap coming out of his mouth. It is what they want to hear.

I will miss Katy Mixons boobs but she had a weird face. Cant wait for Stevie to come back.

This weeks ep wasn't nearly as funny as last weeks, but still decent enough.

I was when I saw that as well. That was probably the most incorrect way to make his debut with a Mexican league, so of course he did it! I loved the way the crowd just looked at him and the teammates rolled their eyes.

Every time I see the Manager of the baseball team, I can't help but think of the opening supermarket scene in Cobra.

See I thought last week was weak and nearly laugh-free, but this week was hilarious and totally worthy of the greatness of the first season.

"That's racism! I love to racism, man!" I also loved how he was the only one getting into Kenny's Hulk Hogan intro. The part where Kenny shot Stevie and poured margarita mix onto his wound was great too.

Next week also looks good but probably cause I can only remember seeing clips of that hot chick shaking her ass on a boat.

I would totally take that chick over April. I think her ass is going to take the place of April's breasts.

I've loved both episodes as much as last season.

The Real American entrance was beyond words...just awesome. Hulk Hogan's music with nWo crotch chops.

I loved this 2nd episode. I thought it was far better than the first episode.

Funny episode.

Seriously, Kenny has to be the most delusional character on TV.
