Great episode, this show knows how to do character humor.

Highlights:
- The French kiss
- Betty Whites gun
- "We're like Batman and Shaft"
- the entire fight/wedding
- "way to hog all the girls Jeff, when there's 3 sprinkled donuts you don't eat one the lick another"

I have tons of disposable income and they are missing the boat if they think that twitter appeals to me and my friends. In fact - I don't know one person who uses this in my personal or work life.
I work with 6 people in one office who use it, ranging in age from 25-35. It definitely appeals to me and my friends. Isn't anecdotal evidence fun?

I love hearing people complain about something that a) doesn't affect them in the slightest and b) comes across like the elderly complaining about "kids today".

Anyway, great episode, and a nice return to form. Though I wish they hadn't been QUITE so quick to shut down Jeff and Annie, but if there is one thing this show does, it's the unexpected.

But overall, it had all the nice pop culture references (I too laughed at the Spider-man thing, but that's was mostly on Twitter, so half this thread didn't understand the joke), and the changes to everything from people's hair to the classroom setting was very refreshing.

Here's to another great season!

I love that Star-burns is back and pointed out the original plot of the pilot to Jeff right before his speech.

Much like Fringe, this show lost nothing over the break and is firing on all cylinders. Modern Family may have won the emmy, but I think this show is more fun.

Can't wait to see where it goes this season.

Loved the subtle dig at "Bleep my dad says".

How about an "old white man says" TV show?
No
Who would watch that?!

Loved it. Great start to season 2.

Loved that Troy's Twitter account on Pierce's comments was taking a shot at Shit my Dad says, especially since they are both airing the same night. Very clever writing there.

Britta and Jeff having that really ugly make out session was pretty hilarious and just seeing Annie lose it was classic.

Nice little guest appearance by Betty White. Strangling Jeff at the end was nuts and then drinking her own urine. What a fucked up teacher. I have to admit, I am kind of tired of seeing her though. I watched all 10 episodes of Hot in Cleveland over the summer and see her yet again on a network show.

So Chang is once again the "villain" in season 2....Loved his little multiple personality schtick at the end.

I loved the "high on my own drama" line, and how it was delivered.

Also liked the "monsters who crave young flesh" line.

It was all good but I absolutely lost it at the end with Gollum-Chang.

This is the best comedy on NBC now, easily.

Re: Community --> Season Premiere --> "Anthropology 101" --> 09/23/10

gleetastic return! oh wait...Communitastic return!

right back to form and very funny. was kinda worried carrying over everything from last season, but it fell right in line with all the silliness and nonsensical stuff with a touch of heart that is the hallmark of this show.

it is indeed written well and performed wonderfully by the entire cast.

i was also worried about the overplayed Betty White gimmick, but she worked as well and brought the unexpected funny.

that opening was great and Glover's Spidey underoos was awesome.

so happy it is back and paired with 30 Rock this time around is a real treat.

I love how they build in any possible complaints the viewers may have via Abed. If you're sitting at home and thinking how boring this storyline is and why can't the show do the awesome stuff they did like the Modern Warfare show and then the character on screen says the same thing you were thinking you probably can't help but love it. It immediately diffuses any similar complaint. It's brilliant.

You guys do know that was practically a shot-for-shot reenactment of Gollum from LOTR, right?

ha ha, don't see how anyone could have missed that. Unless you've never seen LOTR. but since we're on an internet forum, we all have.
