Glad I'm not the only one who's puzzled by this.

Is it possible he sold controlling interest in the company to deal with Zeek's financial problems last season? Even so, odd that it isn't even mentioned.

(and HONESTLY? Music replacement on a 2009 series? There's no excuse for not securing DVD rights at this point.)

I eagerly await Steven's appearance as the Braverman's garbageman.

What was amusing about it is how similar the performance was to Alec Baldwin's character on 30 Rock. They are practically the same person. I guess on some level this is true of every lesser-Baldwin performance ever.

In any case, he was definitely my least favorite part about the episode. Especially since it was implied that Adam basically ran the company and seemed happy with his work life. It is strange that now he has a boss who basically treats him like an intern.

They changed things because NBC wanted changes made. They wanted conflict for Nate and a romantic interest for Lorelai, and they wantd it yesterday. They couldn't waste time with a story-arc to get there. It's a TV show.

For everyone scratching their heads over how a show could do something like this, I direct your attention to the Texas Brigadoon known as East Dillon.

Actually there's three Baldwins on NBC. Adam Baldwin (no relation) on Chuck.

The change that was made to Adam's work situation actually makes it line up more with the film. I remember Steve Martin's character being told by his boss that he needs to "dazzle" him.

And I think they tried to set a record for Apple product placements in a one-hour tv show.
