Parenthood -- Season Premiere -- "I Hear You, I See You" -- 09/14/10
By djariya at 2010-09-11
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
22 episodes ordered for season 2!
One of my favorite midseason shows last season. Personally I was never a fan of Dax Shepherd, but he was so good in season 1 as Crosby. Looking forward to more character development with him and the rest of the family.

Very excited for the premiere! It seems the show got better and better as the season progressed.
I hope that airing the show a couple of weeks before The Good Wife starts up helps it to build even more of a younger audience (18-49).

^ This show definitely improved as last season went on. The pilot was mediocre (at best), but this show eventually grew into a pleasant surprise for me. Looking forward to the premiere.

Once I could seperate the characters from their film counterparts, I started to enjoy the show a lot more, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this show is headed now.

Looking forward to it. Crosby was definitely my favourite during Season One.
I'll catch it Saturday or on Hulu though, since Sons Of Anarchy takes precedence.

Looking forward to this. Am I missing something though, or did the first season just wrap up like, three or four months ago??
I hope we get to see more of Crosby's girl. I can't remember how they concluded that storyline last season, but she is smokin'.

Jasmine got a job with a ballet company in New York and took Jabbar. Crosby decided to join them.

Glad to have it back.
I didn't even realize this was back already and my dvr didn't have it scheduled. What a pleasant surprise for tonight.

Like most of you are saying, the pilot left me with a cold feeling but as the season went on (and Lauren Graham became less and less Lorelai Gilmore) it honestly became one of my favorite series!

Crosby and Jasmine having Skype sex and the connection breaking up.
Really great 1st episode. The cast chemistry is as solid as ever.
Loved Sydney asking Julia and Joel if she came from a vagina. Their sex talk was so awkward and funny.
I'm glad that Zeek and Camille are back together and working through their problems.
The only thing I disagreed with was Sarah kind of being a bitch and taking ownership of her "idea" from Adam when the whole thing spawned from a casual conversation.
The episode made me smile, so it did it's job.

Yeah I thought Adam made a great point about how he does so much stuff for her and she basically just responded with "So what?!"... He character definetely dropped a few notches because of that. But yeah, glad this show is back.

Yeah, decent premiere last night. Started off kind of chaotic, but settled into its groove during the second half. Good scene between Joel and Zeek on the roof.

I thought it was good but slow. I still enjoyed it, but it just had a weird timing to it.

Last season, I remember remarking that it was too bad that Lauren Graham and Peter Krause portray siblings here as they have such great chemistry together. I was reading in EW that apparently they are dating in real life. Makes sense!

Good episode! I forgot how much I liked this show. Looks like were gonna be seeing alot more of Minka Kelly this season The one thing that bothered me though, I thought that Nate-- I mean, Adam owned his own business?
Oh yea, and I don't know if anyone bought the dvd of season, but I just lost interest in picking this show up. The show didn't get the rights to the theme song for the dvd release and therefore its a generic theme. I can understand the classic shows not getting their original theme song (aka Married with Children), but why bother including a theme song for a new show if you are not gonna bother securing the rights for the dvd release?

I also thought Adam owned the shoe company.

Yeah, I got the idea that Adam ran his shoe business, the way he was always giving family members shoes when they stopped by to visit him in his office. Now--out of thin air--he has a boss to report to? Does NBC really need two Baldwins on their network??

They changed Nate's status from boss to employee to create an avenue for conflict on the show.
Plus, the lesser Baldwin is supposed to be some kind of playa, and Lorelai is coming to work there. Do the math.

Baldwin seemed a little flighty so it makes sense he'd have a day to day boss who actually managed things.
