Conan nominated, Leno not. LOL

Also, South Park's controversial two-parter up for an Emmy.

And Gregory Itzin (24) finally gets his nomination!

I mostly like that Archer and the Man Your Man Could Smell Like commercial got nominations. Didn't even know there was an Emmy for commercial.

Burn Notice nomination for Sharon Gless, 5 "supporting" noms for Modern Family, The Tonight Show w/ Conan O'Brien, Damages with a slew of acting noms... all good to see.

Lots of 30 Rock and Modern Family love is great to see.

Interestingly enough, I was watching the nominations on NBC. :)

I wonder if they tried to push Ed O'Neill for Best Comedy Actor or if he just got lost in the shuffle in Best Supporting.

I had no idea that this is Kyle Chandler's 2nd Emmy nomination. His first was for Guest Actor in a Drama Series for Grey's Anatomy in 2006.

LOOOOOONG overdue too IMHO! He and Britton should just be handed awards but instead will likely go home empty-handed. :(

As I'm looking at these nominations, I have to admit there is a lot of damn good television on right now.

I would love to see both of them win, but I know Cranston will more than likely win his 3rd in a row and either Julianna Marguiles or Glenn Close will win.

Re: 2010 Emmy Nominations

Even Fallon got nominated for some Emmy's. I hope Conan wins it since the Emmy's will be on NBC this year, but it will probably end up being The Daily Show yet again.

I'm surprised to see that Elizabeth Mitchell got nominated for Guest Star for the last episode of Lost, I don't recall her being in the episode all that much, but she was involved in one of my favorite scenes in that episode.

I'm happy Gregory Itzin got nominated but he will have a tough time going up against John Lithgow. It's a bummer Kiefer Sutherland didn't get nominated for his last season. Surprised none of the Seinfeld cast got nominated for Guest Stars on Curb. Also Survivor not nominated for Reality Show - Competition is surprising to me, I guess Emmy people hated Russell too.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the nominations since I watch most of these shows. I'll be rooting for Modern Family to win the comedy nominations and Lost for drama even though I thought Dexter and Mad Men had better seasons. Lost is just one of my favorite shows ever and would like to see them go out with a couple of Emmy's.

I was surprised about Robert Morse (Bertram Cooper) being nominated as a guest actor for Mad Men. What qualifies someone to be a guest actor?

I sense a very good night for Breaking Bad.

Here's hoping this is the beginning of a Frasier-type run at the Emmys for Modern Family.

According to what I read, all the actors of the show submitted themselves under supporting actors categories, since there is no real lead on the show.

If it doesn't win for Best Drama, there is something seriously wrong. Cranston will easily win again, and deservedly.

Justified gets no nominations except for the theme music?

He's been nominated for the show before.

My favorite shows: Breaking Bad, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Glee, Mad Men, Modern Family and True Blood are represented. I'm happy.

No Cougar Town? Boo.

What a mixed bag - I don't understand all the love for Glee.
Nice group in the Supp. Actress in a Drama category.

 No noms for Justified, Timothy Olyphant, Community, Courtney Cox, Ed O'neill, Campbell Scott

He was nominated (and should have won) in Best Supporting for Season 5.

Really, I think it is how they are credited in the shows credits.

I really have to start watching Breaking Bad. I don't know what's keeping me from doing so. No more excuses. It's summer and nothing else is on.

Glad to see Modern Family get nods, but I think Cougar Town was deserving of some nods as well.

Somebody from Community should've taken Carrell's spot.

I agree. That is rather shocking. I'll admit I had low expectations for that series and now think it is one of the best shows on right now.

It's possible that only the pilot was submitted for consideration, which was okay but the show hadn't hit it's stride yet. Had they submitted a later episode, I think Walton Goggins would have easily gotten a Best Guest Actor nod.
