Gus Walter White is one of the best villains ever in TV or movies.
Fixed.

Another great episode and intense ending. I rewound the ending at least 5 times and every time got chills. I still can't believe how after such a great season last year, that this season makes that look pale in comparison. If Aaron Paul doesn't get an Emmy, they should stop having the ceremony.

Well he IS good, but he's no Walton Goggins.

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Half Measures" -- 06/06/10

I saw the sneek peek for next week.m Great scene. My Directv guide says the finale runtime is 107 mins.

Put me in the camp that says it was not out of character for Gus to meet with the low lifes. Gus realized he needed a quick resolution and knows that Walt is very inexperienced in these matters. Lets face it Walt is new to the biz and even then is just a cook. Gus likes everything running smooth and like things to be handled quickly and swift. So I think Gus felt cornered into that meeting and although he would have liked to have stayed out of it, he needed to take the bull by the horns.

That ending, now that was fantastic!

Goggins would be in the Guest Actor category, so they wouldn't compete with each other.

Just because he was different from Leonard's books doesn't mean he did a bad job. You're certainly alone in your assessment though.

...Goggins says he chose not to read the Elmore Leonard books that feature Boyd Crowder because he didn't want to be influenced by them...

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Half Measures" -- 06/06/10

Okay obviously I missed something. My DVR cut off after Jesse and his girl were in bed and she found out Tomas was killed - can someone give me a brief recap of the last minute or so of the show? Did Jesse call Walt and tell him the drug dealers killed Tomas and that he was going to kill the Drug dealers. Did Walt show up to stop him and then helped him finish them off?

Funny thing is that I thought the episode was excellent even without the final scene...whatever it was.

Thanks!

Dude you have to watch that last scene!!! That's the one everyone is talking about.

We can give you a recap but you'll miss the big impact of watching on TV. So download it or watch a rerun or something. One of the best scenes of the season, of the series!

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Half Measures" -- 06/06/10

I started watching the series on Blu-ray right around the time the third season started, DVRing the new episodes. I just caught up...the season finale will be the first episode I see live. So, this is the first time since I started watching the series that I can't watch the next episode whenever I want to. It's killing me. That was one of the best hours of television I've ever seen.

Networks have systems that scan YouTube videos for their watermarks, by mirroring the image the video goes by undetected.

And yes it does.

And Cox. In Arizona, for some reason the HD broadcast comes on at 7pm while the SD broadcast comes on at 10pm.

I somehow doubt I'm the only person in the world who feels like he's not doing a great job on Justified.

I like him as an actor, his final season of The Shield was epic. I just don't care for what he's doing in Justified.

Sweet mercy that was one of the best episodes of the series for me.. The whole scene with the PI and Walt at Walt's house was solid gold..

WTH are they going to do now? I mean, Walt's car is jacked now and hopefully there weren't any witnesses..

Sad to see Jesse go back to the meth.

You were totally right - I guess due to my lack of sleep with our newborn that I just turned it off at the commercial break. That last scene was EPIC!

This is easily the best show on TV right now!!!

It's been many years since I've really looked forward to the next episode of any series. I've always thought Breaking Bad was a bit better than Mad Men, but with this season, it better win Emmy for best drama. This is the way serialized TV should be.

I was going to come here to post the same thing. One of things I really like about Breaking Bad is that it has allowed career character actors like Dean Norris and Jonathan Banks actually do real acting other than be cops or act menacing.
