Tom is alright. I can see how his winning would add something new to the lineup. They've got enough Dan types as it is with the plethora of shows airing now. Thereby Tom brings the sophisticated and tailored perspective that's not filled.
At least he's not a total jerk. There is still no one to root for.

Anybody watch Color Splash: Miami? My wife watches it and I think it's horrible. I've never been a David fan but this show is particularly bad. I guess I just don't care for watching mansions getting make overs.

The Miami version is too indulgent with shallow clients.
The original Color Splash succeeded because it was a lot more approachable. The interpersonal dynamics between David, Danielle (painting assistant), Ian (carpenter), and the seemingly more grateful and deserving homeowners made one happy to see the results. Not so much with Miami. Yes, it's pretty, but soulless.
I hope he regroups with the old gang and this is just his vacation show. I'd hate to think he abandoned the previous crew because he got cocky.

I agree about the mansions. That's why I like the house hunter type shows on HGTV when it's just "normal folks" looking for a house. I have no interest in watching millionaires looking for a mansion.

Why haven't they gone into anybodies house yet? Last season they did rooms in peoples houses a few times and even a back yard. Seems like every room is basically a white box challenge with the exception of the fire house.

Thank you! Dude gets on my nerves so bad that I fast forwarded everytime he came on. Does he ever shut his fucking mouth? He's too grating for his own show.
I'm rooting for Courtland to win. He's excellent in front of the camera and is a strong designer....and not bad on the eyes

Agreed - Courtland is easy on the eyes, and has an ease about himself in front of the camera. So I though he would go further.

Yeah, they brought in Mark Burnett and he really screwed things up. Uninspiring contestants, shitty challenges and they got rid of Clive for no reason.

Yup. I'm wondering if Bravo's Top Design is coming back?
