How would you have ended Lost?
Be serious or funny.
I would have liked to have seen Jack be the big hero and survive and get Kate. And, no Jacob and a nameless brother.
Or, something like the movie "Passenger." i wonder if the producers saw that film and if they did, what they thought?

I'm okay with keeping the heaven/afterlife story line since it gives closure to the characters. However, I would have made Jack and Desmond's actions been the end of the island as well. That would have brought closure to that component of the story as well and given the Oceanic 815 a purpose beyond just another group to land on the island.

I know technically Kate died but I'd have had her death appear on-screen. I always hated her character and each episode I hoped she'd kick the bucket, but knew she never would.
...and I'd probably have answered some of the questions fans wanted to know instead of just ignoring all of the mysteries built up over 6 seasons, but that's just me.

Christian Shepard is revealed to be the devil and everyone goes to hell instead of Heaven. Their punishment is to be forced to watch Lost over and over again for all eternity.
Also the Dog pisses on Jacks face as the last shot of the Finale.

Assuming we're not going back and changing anything from the first five seasons, I would have done the following:
1) The "across the sea" storyline would have been the season-long flashback. Give the people building the donkey wheel guns and let them shoot at the outrigger.
2) LA-X would have aired at the same time as across the sea, and it would have been a self-contained episode which would truly be the alternate timeline created by jughead. Probably make this one a two hour episode. Less fanservice, and more "they're not any better off than if they were on the island".
3) The final episodes would have played out more or less the same way, but with more info on whitmore's group and desmond. Maybe some token dialog about the dharma initiative.
4) Kill kate.

Actually answering some questions about what the hell the smoke monster is (other than somehow being Jacob's brother) as well as the temple, and all the other unanswered questions. Not answering everything mind you but more than they did.
I also thought the purgatory thing was truly an alternate timeline and somehow by everyone remembering the island and coming together the timelines would merge. After that not sure but I really was hoping and expecting that.

I'm fine with the finale how it was... if anything, I'd change parts of the past 120 episodes to raise fewer questions for people to bitch and moan about.

It would have been funny if they could have found the original kid actor who played the autistic son in St. Elsewhere, and have the same character, now an adult, looking at a snowglobe once again on a pull-out shot that starts in on the snowglobe and slow pulls out and reveals the son with a raised eyebrow.

They all get on a boat trying for escape and in the ocean they run into Tom Hanks who is upset that Wilson just floated away. They both all find a boat and is rescued.

Had it be revealed that everything (the plane crash, the conflict with the others, Jacob and MIB, and everything else) was actually orchestrated by Alvar Hanso as a large communal research project within the Dharma Initiative, which had not been defunct but was still very active the entire time.
(And this ending would also explain why the DI was still making supply drops!)
