He was great on The Shield. Hard to imagine him as a cop.

It's even harder to actually watch him as a cop.

He was in Me, Myself and Irene so he gets a free pass from me.

aintnosin 02-22-08 12:15 PM

I love how he hasn't shot one single episode and already some have decided that he sucks in the role.

devilshalo 02-22-08 12:38 PM

I'd rather have Fontana come out of retirement.

I don't imagine his character will be that much different than when he was on SVU, so its not like the reactions are totally off base

GradVT06 02-22-08 01:38 PM

:thmbsdwn: :thmbsdwn:

AA peaked while he was on Hang Time.

It's one of the largest caveats of having a reputation.

d2cheer 02-22-08 06:01 PM

I am sad to see Martin go, but I will give AA a chance. I still dig the show. It is still better than anything new that has come on.

antennaball 02-22-08 07:46 PM

I actually liked his abrasive, rule-bending detective on SVU. I'd actually like it if they let him be the same character and kept it consistent within the L&O universe.

Law & Order - 03/12/08 - with Lara Flynn Boyle

This isn't so much about the episode.

WHAT THE HECK did LFB do to herself? She used to be so beautiful, but now she's had botched surgery or injected scorpion venom or whatever the fuck into her face and she looks like a reanimated corpse. Almost as bad as Joan Rivers or Lisa Rinna.

Arthur Dent 03-12-08 10:33 PM

She did look pretty bad. But, on a brighter note, the episode was pretty good!

cdollaz 03-13-08 07:04 AM

That was Lara Flynn Boyle? I didn't even recognize her.

That combined with the arrival of HD will just about put an end to her career.

 she did look bad.

i wonder if the crying scene she displayed at the end of the episode was to prove that her face was not paralyzed.

cdollaz 03-13-08 11:01 AM

I thought it looked more like the kidnapper chick from Prison Break.

aintnosin 03-13-08 12:40 PM

Damn, we had the power go out last night. Came back on at 10:59pm, just in time for my DVR to record the "Next Week on Law & Order."

CharlieK 03-13-08 03:58 PM

I'm really enjoying this season. I even liked the moment at the end with Sisto and his new dog. I hope the arrival of Anderson doesn't screw things up much.

My wife really liked Boyle on 'The Practice'. During the ep she said, "Huh, that really looks like LFB. I wonder if it's her sister." I didn't have the heart to tell her.

Red Dog 03-13-08 06:11 PM

LFB looked good from the back in the hot tub. WTF was up with her lips.

I really enjoyed this episode. Lot's of twists and turns and they utilized 2 ripped-headlines very well (I like when they use them more tangentally).

Lastyear 03-13-08 06:17 PM

Looks like collagen in her lips and botox in her cheeks.Looked terrible and too thin besides-shapeless stick figure legs.

That's definitely one area where Law and Order has usually excelled; the stories are anything *but* simple and by the numbers.

mike7162 03-13-08 07:59 PM

I'm really sorry to hear that Jesse L. Martin is leaving the show - he and Sisto make great partners.

LFB looks like someone just beat her up - she was an amazingly beautiful woman

Rogue588 03-13-08 09:41 PM

I kept thinking of this commerical every time she was on the screen...

Law & Order 4/23

Well, at least they didn't kill him. Jesse's been around about as long as Chris Noth and Ben Bratt combined. Gonna be weird not having him around.

Have to admit, I was surprised by the direction the case took when Bunny died, even though I had a hunch Ed's past gambling issues would come up somehow.

I did like Anthony Anderson as the replacement detective and I'm glad they didn't make him the usual Internal Affairs weasel we always see on TV.

Was also happy to hear Lenny's death acknowledged again.

While I didn't like him, I didn't hate him either. Though, the exchanges with him and Van Buren was way too "foreshadowy" for my tastes.

I totally agree. I still miss him.
