This "reviewer" obviously didn't pay too much attention if his big closing line of the review was wanting to know what the deal was with the numbers. That was answered this season.

Nope! It was the time spent with those people that would eventually lead him back to the one he loved. Imagine if they never crashed he could either still be pushing the button or have died lonely in the hatch.

Hey, guys help me out...I'm blanking on what happened to Desmond on the island.

Only Miles, Richard, Lapides, Kate, Sawyer and Claire left on the plane, right? What about Desmond? Ben and Hurley pulled him out of the cave and I think he was still alive. But he never got off the island, right? So did he live out the rest of his life on the island? Never saw Penny again?

No he couldn't. Jacob put him there. If Jacob didn't exist, he never would have been there.

Ben and Hurley opened a theme park. Regular travel to the island resumed under their rules.

Des' yacht (the Elizabeth) is still moored off Hydra island. He could still leave in that.

They didn't show it but they implied that Hurley would get Desmond off the island.

That's what I assumed. I had forgotten about the boat though, which is the obvious solution.

I assume he took his boat and sailed home.

You mean that they were just chalk on a wall and didn't really matter according Jacob? Which is why they were stamped on the hatch, being broadcast on a loop, winning Hurley the lottery, etc. Because they were just numbers on a wall according to Jacob. Quite an answer.

I believe they opened a Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack on the island.

Hurley was the manager (#1) while Ben was the assistant manager (#2). They ran a damn fine fast food joint for the remainder of their lives ...

They needed the smoke monster to give the chicken that real "smoky" goodness.

If they didn't introduce the fact that 6 of them got off the island at one time, then the best ending would be their rescue.

If it wasnt for the 'Flash-Forward' episode, which was lights-out great, I would then say that story-wise, they should never have left the island in the middle of their 6 year run.

That one was kinda silly. Nikki was leaving the show, and Paulo was her lover/henchman. They killed Nikki's lover, who was the creator of the show.

But when the guy got to Season 6 and all the questions, I started to laugh. Just because of the absurdity of the fact that all this crap happened and there's no apparent reason why other than to get characters from point "A" to point "B".

Although I enjoyed the finale, this was great. They should have shown something like this on the Kimmel special.

Re: Lost -- 2 1/2 Hour Series Finale -- "The End Part 1 & 2" -- 05/23/10

Waiting to see how this gets deconstructed here:

'Lost' exclusive: ABC sets the record straight about the series finale's plane crash images

You know those Oceanic 815 plane crash images that ran after Jack's (Matthew Fox) eye closed and the "Lost" logo appeared on our TV screens? Some "Lost" fans and TV critics have wondered if they were a last Easter egg from the producers, a clue meant to lead us to conclude that no one survived Oceanic 815's crash landing — and therefore everything we've seen over the last six years never really happened.

Well, ABC wants to clear the air: Those photographs were not part of the "Lost" story at all. The network added them to soften the transition from the moving ending of the series to the 11 p.m. news and never considered that it would confuse viewers about the actual ending of the show.

"The images shown during the end credits of the 'Lost' finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not part of the final story but were a visual aid to allow the viewer to decompress before heading into the news," an ABC spokesperson wrote in an e-mail Tuesday.

That means, Losties, that we were not supposed to think that Christian Shepherd (John Terry) is a liar. What Christian told his son, when they were reunited at the church, should serve as guidance for our interpretation of the series' ending.

So let's review: Christian told Jack that he was dead and everyone else in the church was too — some had died before Jack, as we already knew, and some died long after. The sideways flashes then were a step in everyone's after-lives, a way to reconnect before moving on permanently. While there still may be unanswered questions related to that religious and spiritual conclusion to the "Lost" story, the photographs were really just a nostalgic, transitional touch added by ABC executives — and not executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

Love or hate it, that's the final answer.

Nope he was able to jump between worlds. He stated he was able to see the other world when he was in the cave of light.

That little clip did nothing for me. I'm like George Costanza, I need at least a couple of week to decompress....
