Here's The Lost Helpline to help you sort things out before the finale (the second player in the link after the podcast).

Maybe he's going to screw around a little, but the official Press release says this:

Following the finale episode, Jimmy Kimmel will host a one-hour post-show discussion and celebration of the beloved series in "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to Lost," SUNDAY, MAY 23 (12:05-1:05 a.m., ET). Kimmel will be joined in studio by Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Alan Dale, Jeremy Davies, Emilie de Ravin, Michael Emerson, Matthew Fox, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O'Quinn and Harold Perrineau, with special appearances by Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly and an exclusive look at THREE ALTERNATIVE FINAL SCENES from the minds of executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

Just like it will be annoying that when some of us ask about the numerous questions \ plot holes, we are going to hear numerous Dharlton apologists defend with the usual "it was always about the characters \ journey \ anything except a meaningful and cohesive story.

They (Dharlton) had no idea what the monster was going to be which is why looking back on the pilot, smokey ripping through the woods makes absolutely no sense.

But hey, that is ok. Its all about the characters MAAAAANN.

Remember how Stephen King went back and re-wrote scenes from the first DT book in order for the story to fit with the rest of the series? I know it'll probably never happen but what if lindelof and cruse re-filmed or added scenes from season 1-2 to fit with the rest of the series? Would you guys be satisfied if they did that?

I'm fine with how the smoke monster acted then and now. They could have explained that the smoke monster took care of the pilot because he was the most likely person to know how to communicate with the outside world and he didn't want that. He wanted to be able to scan the survivors and see who he could use and he found somebody.

Just watched the Series Pilot again that was aired last night and noticed that a very important scene was cut out... the one where Locke is lying on the ground, looks at his wiggling toe, and stands up. Am I crazy, or was it omitted from this showing?

Except he wouldn't have been able to, because the underwater station (Hydra?) was blocking all communications from the island.

I was wondering the same thing. Was that in the pilot, or in Locke's flashback episode?

Maybe I should have put a disclaimer for people to not vote until you've actually seen the episode.

Ok. Thanks for explaining that. Like the rest of us, I've seen so many episodes that they blend in together. I even wondered how everyone suddenly knew Sawyer's name in the Pilot when they never showed him introducing himself.

I updated my OP to ask people not to vote until they have seen the episode. Hopefully we won't get anymore wasted results than the 9 jerks who voted.

Less than two and a half hours before the finale, and only 5 people have voted on the show they haven't seen. You guys are getting lazy.

I don't post in the Lost threads much but it's been a blast reading them over the years. Helped me pick up on a lot of things I had missed. I'm sure this thread will be no exception. I'll be happy as long as the final 105 minutes or so is entertaining and we get a few "whoa" answers to our questions. See ya on the other side.
