Alot of you here probably don't watch Idol, so I would recommend padding at least 10 minutes since it's now on the Live studio shows.

Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) engaged
Story Here

Story Here
Sue Sylvester may be unlucky in love so far, but the actress who portrays her is getting hitched.
A spokesperson for Jane Lynch confirmed to CNN that the “Glee” star and her partner, Lara Embry, are engaged.
“Yes, it’s true,” said Gabrielle Krengel, a spokesperson for Lynch. “Jane and Lara are thrilled to be engaged.”
Embry is a psychologist and she and Lynch have been spotted beaming on the red carpet at events such as the Golden Globes where “Glee” took top honors for best musical or comedy television series.
Lynch has long been well known to fans for her appearances in Christopher Guest films and now has a strong small screen fan base thanks to her role as the diabolical cheerleading coach Sylvester on “Glee.”

I thought that this was supposed to be the Madonna episode?! I'm so confused! I've never seen the show, but, someone told me they were doing an episode of Madonna songs, so, I was really looking forward to it. I guess it's not happening this episode.

She doesn't go around making a big deal, but she's pretty open about it. I had heard about it, then I saw her on Chelsea Handler's show talking about it.

I don't have a DVR and have to find stuff on Hulu, but it's frustrating to me that I am going to have to skip Parenthood or V to watch this. If it started at 9:00 and ended at 10:00 I could watch one of those right after then tune in to FX for Justified's 11:00 repeat, but now I'm going to have to watch two repeats and I really don't like watching things online if I don't absolutely have to.

"No, she's dead...this is her son." - Kurt
"Did you know dolphins are gay sharks?" - Brittany
Sue had too many great lines to remember.
I'm dying.

Having someone with as good a voice as Jonathan Groff shows just how weak Cory Monteith's voice really is. They really should have found a male lead that didn't require auto-tuning for a show about a Glee Club. Although I will say I think his vocals on "Hello, Goodbye" were the best we've heard from him since "Don't Stop Believing."
---
Will really disappointed me there. I love Emma; can't believe he's gonna do this to her. And to make matters worse, he's letting her think it was her decision when he was going to do it himself.
---
I really hope they don't focus too much on Vocal Adrenaline. I understand they're a part of the show, but honestly, Highway To Hell was the weakest song of the bunch tonight and I haven't been overly impressed with the songs they've performed thus far in the season. Really need to stick with New Directions, although Jonathan Groff is definitely a welcome addition as the show needed another male with strong vocals. Interested to see where that whole story takes us.
That being said, I think story-wise this episode was about on par with prior episodes, but the songs and performances weren't. Lea Michele did a great job on "Gives You Hell," and her duet with Groff was good as well. "Hello, Goodbye" was nice, but not on the caliber of other "classic" songs they've done in the past. Finn was way too autotuned for the first song up and "Highway To Hell" was just too busy, as all of Vocal Adrenaline's songs have been.
Still, I have high hopes for the remainder of the season and hopefully they'll get back into the swing of things. I don't think the 4 month hiatus has done them any favours though, and really don't think the odd scheduling the first night back will help either. I bet the numbers for tonight will be significantly lower than for the first 13 episodes.
---
Jane Lynch was pretty awesome in the Vogue video. Her voice isn't amazing or anything, but her vocals were perfectly suited for the song. I liked the subtle changes to the lyrics too. Next week should be a blast.

Having Jonathan Groff on with Lea just shows you what happens when two actors have real chemistry together. The years they spent together onstage just shine through.

Kind of a dull first half. Not sure why they didn't come back from their hiatus with a spectacular opening number. Grab the audience right away.

Loved the episode.
Lots of great lines from Sue. Loved that she blackmailed the principal and still wore her jogging suit.
One thing I was really glad to see was more Brittany and Santana. I thought they were grossly underused in the 1st 13 episodes. They had some great lines tonight. Loved when they were holding hands...
and when Santana offered to make out with Brittany in front of Finn if he bought them dinner.
Santana to Brittany: "I think that dwarf girlfriend of his is dragging down his rep"
"She looked like Pipi Longstocking, but Israeli"
Brittany to Sue: "Sometimes I forget my middle name"
I could not believe that Will became so wishy washy this episode with his relationship with Emma and then he goes on and makes out with Vocal Adrenaline's director.
Good stuff overall. The episode brought a smile to my face.
I thought the Jane Lynch "Vogue" video was really creepy for some reason. She did a good job and her vocals are adequate, but the video was just weird, especially how it mimicked the Madonna version perfectly.

I'm only a casual GLEE fan, although I do enjoy it...but I'm surprised that more people aren't mad they essentially hit the "reset" button (and it's only halfway through Season 1!) last night re: every relationship on the show.
