Re: Lost -- "The Package" -- 03/30/10

This article was just released where a LOST star talks about what they think of the finale after reading the final script. While there are no specific spoilers, perhaps knowing that this star knows about the finale and a few things they say would be spoilers to some...so read at your own risk:
Spoiler:

'Lost' star says finale 'perfect' by WENN.COM

Lost star Daniel Dae Kim insists fans of the desert island drama will not be disappointed with the show's climax - it has left him stunned.

The actor is one of the few stars who know how the series will end and he admits the show's creators have outdone themselves.

He tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "I found the finale incredibly powerful. So much so that after I finished reading what I received, I had to sit for a few minutes after I closed the last page, just to reflect on it.

"It's big and it's significant. It's very emotionally resonant. I was satisfied by it. At its heart, Lost is a story about characters. There is a lot of sci-fi to it, but it's all very human. The stakes are very real. It's relatable. I really had to sit there in silence for a while because it meant a lot to me."

The cast will shoot the final scenes in the next two weeks and the finale will air in the U.S. in May.

It appears to depend on monitor resolution. At 1280x1024, I'm now at 10 pages.

Your mileage may vary. No warranties, expressed or implied, are offered on this observation

Considering that the actor being interviewed is [spoiler]Bruce Campbel[/spoiller], I think that's a pretty big spoiler in and of itself!

It is a spoiler, by knowing who said it we will know who makes it to the end.

Aw, dino88, you're not that skeptical about this show are you? I'm betting that's just your April Fool's joke. :P

Oh, I'm not skeptical about the show. I just know from reading all the nitpicks that the viewers will never be satisfied.

Speaking of April Fools, today would have been a perfect day to let a minor spoiler slip. No one would believe a word.

Re: Lost -- "The Package" -- 03/30/10

Spoiler:

I have a MASSIVE, MASSIVE Spoiler for you folks... it concerns the ultimate end game for the entire show. Only read it if you want to know exactly what happens in the final scene of Lost ever (this one's the big kahuna!):
Spoiler:
ABC Has asked me to update this spoiler comment. Unfortunately, due to powers beyond their control, they have had to cancel plans for a Lost series finale due to budgetary concerns this year. Therefore, instead, they will simply have Damon and Carlton read the finale script themselves to the audience LIVE on Sunday, May 23, 2010. Or you may contribute to the "Film the Lost Finale Campaign!" at http://www.filmthefinalepisodeoflostyourself.com, a page that has been set up from the show's creator encouraging fans to donate money to pay for the final episodes production costs. According to Lost Creator Damon Lindeof: "I really think this is the best way to please our fans. It's really a win-win. If you donate enough money... say, $1,000,000, you can tell us ONE question you want answered and we might address it on the show as a thank you. This is our way of thanking our fans for six wonderful years." Adds Executive Producer Carlton Cuse: "We may even make twitter comments to sports commentators letting them know there name may be featured in the finale - either by coincidence or by fate - if they donate enough money, and perhaps, give us a few free passes to some games we've been eying."

I'm afraid your right...

It seemed funny at the time... I should have put more thought into it.

I disagree. You should have put less thought into it and never even posted it.

You people are harsh. If no one likes what you wrote, just keep on trying until people do like what you write......that's what I try to do. Usually a lost picture with some funny captions at the bottom can get some chuckles out of me......maybe you can try one of those.

Re: Lost -- "The Package" -- 03/30/10

I find it incredibly disturbing that so many people think the MIB is the "God" figure and that Jacob is the "devil" figure. I thought it was all clearly explained in the previous episode where it was said that the MIB thinks he knows what is good for everyone and tries to force everyone to join his side through forceful promises and deals and lies, while Jacob wants people to join his side based on their own free will. That's basically Satan vs God right there in a nutshell. (for those that need help: God is for free will).

Re: Lost -- "The Package" -- 03/30/10

God is for free will? Join me or I'll have you tortured forever and ever? That's not "force?"

Satan is the one who favors freedom... back when he was an angel who told the fascist prick to stick it up his ass because he'd rather reign in hell than lick boots in heaven.

And I certainly hope that Lost doesn't turn into some kind of God vs Satan bullshit in its final act. It's trite and cliched.
