I don't think Chuck still understands the full implications of WHAT being a spy entails. He gets the idea of good vs. evil, but doesn't understand that being a spy involves blurring those lines to the point of corruption. There's a higher level of moral relativism with this life, and I don't think Chuck will ever be able to embrace that.

Sarah has a similar problem. She is more adept at the job, but there's always some deeper emotional issue that prevents her from being able to compartmentalize like other agents. Hence, that's why she has to find an intimate connection with another person. Chuck is the first guy that's not like her father or Bryce - Chuck has a solid core of what's right and wrong, and doesn't blur the lines that way. When Chuck rejects her for the spy life, it breaks that connection. She replaces it with Shaw, because Shaw has the combination of being able to see right and wrong, but also blur the lines only when necessary. In my opinion, Sarah would give up being a spy if Chuck told her to.

Casey seems to be the only one that is totally integrated into spy life - and even he has some emotional entanglements, although he is willing to give them up.

Just hold on until the season finale... According to a recent interview with Josh Schwartz, there is a game changer coming AND Jeffster will perform a music video that directly corresponds to a video montage that is predicted to rock the series.

I hope that after this front 13 that the back 6 can bring back a little more of the whimsy, and I don't just mean the Buy More/Jeffster. There is a fine line between Chuck (himself) being goofy and smart with funny. For me, too many of his actions have been on the cocky/goofy side this season. Perhaps that's just him struggling with his new role and identity?

If what Ausiello is reporting actually happens it will be enough for me to stop watching the show. In the history of television when what he is reporting happens the show always sucks from then on out.

I didn't read that spoiler above, but I'm going media dark on this show. Last year I just watched each week and enjoyed everything I was watching. Then over the summer/winter I was so psyched I read as much as I could without be spoilerized. However, all that buzz, coupled with my anticipation has left me unfulfilled. Plus I keep seeing news on will they/won't they and it's frustrating, especially when paired with events in the episodes. I simply need to go back watching week to week and waiting for the story to unfold.

Yeah I wouldnt like it either... Not sure if it would make me quit watching, but I wouldnt be too happy.

As much as I am really starting to loathe the "chuck/sarah emotional conversations" that happen like 4 times an episode (they did stop them at least a little bit earlier this season), i was really digging the song that played during the dinner scene at the train station.
