The whole redneck subplot ONLY worked if she really was just a scared girl trying whatever she could do to make the bad redneck ex boyfriend leave her alone so she could live her life in peace. It was stupid but I could buy that. People make small mistakes that mushroom into huge catastrophes all the time. But since she's supposedly a badass terrorist that will kill in cold blood, what was the point of her sneaking around and orchestrating that robbery and leaving CTU to go meet those guys at her apartment and so on? That would only work if she was trying to do the "right" thing. If she's a bad terrorist all she had to do was kill them outright and everything would have been over.
So let me get this straight. According to this show's timeline, just an hour ago, Dana was having a break down and was willing to admit everything to some redneck parole officer and probably go to jail. Now, she's some cold-blooded, murdering terrorist? Really? If that were the case, I agree with the other posters here that she would have just killed Kevin when he first showed up instead of wasting all that time with him. I know the writers don't have everything planned out when the season starts, but this just didn't make any sense at all. It really bothers me that they have completely wasted Katee Sackhoff this year. I think she could have been a good addition to the show.
A mole is fine. Just don't show the person who turns out to be the mole, by themselves an hour before they're revealed, acting differently than an hour later, again when they're by themselves. You'd figure, they'd drop the act slightly if they're alone with nobody around in the Hallway or in the Oval Office.

If I was Dana Walsh, I would have told Kevin and his friend to go and rob a place where her cohort terrorists would be waiting to kill them, instead of actually let them rob a police evidence lockup. And the terrorists would have gladly done it too in order to preserve her cover at CTU.

That's brilliant. The writers could have played it off as a coincidence, and then when she turned heel in episode 13-ish, she could have thanked them for the help. Nothing main-plot related would have had to change.
As for the current season of 24, it's the sixth season all over again. They should have canned it after last season's great run, at least then there wouldn't have been a bad taste lingering on its way out.
