Haha, I used to do just that on the IMDB message boards where I post as Mister_Anderson. I called them "24 in 2.4 Minutes". I stopped halfway through Season 6, once I realized Season 6 itself was already a parody.

EDIT: I see that some guy saved my synopses. You can find them here.

Sarcasm? Or am I mis-remembering something? I recall a mountain range blocking a satellite feed or something to the suitcase nukes. Said mountain range didn't exist where the show said it did.

Sarcasm. I'm in Iowa. There are no mountains. Of any sort. Anywhere.

The whole redneck subplot ONLY worked if she really was just a scared girl trying whatever she could do to make the bad redneck ex boyfriend leave her alone so she could live her life in peace. It was stupid but I could buy that. People make small mistakes that mushroom into huge catastrophes all the time. But since she's supposedly a badass terrorist that will kill in cold blood, what was the point of her sneaking around and orchestrating that robbery and leaving CTU to go meet those guys at her apartment and so on? That would only work if she was trying to do the "right" thing. If she's a bad terrorist all she had to do was kill them outright and everything would have been over.
Cause the writers prob make shit up as it goes.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "4:00am to 5:00am" -- 03/22/10

I finally got around to watching this last night and, wow, that was horrible. I've watched this show from the beginning and have never missed an episode, even during season 6. This is the first season that I am truly thinking about giving up on. I almost didn't even watch Monday's episode and when I did, I just about threw up in my mouth a little bit at that ending.

So let me get this straight. According to this show's timeline, just an hour ago, Dana was having a break down and was willing to admit everything to some redneck parole officer and probably go to jail. Now, she's some cold-blooded, murdering terrorist? Really? If that were the case, I agree with the other posters here that she would have just killed Kevin when he first showed up instead of wasting all that time with him. I know the writers don't have everything planned out when the season starts, but this just didn't make any sense at all. It really bothers me that they have completely wasted Katee Sackhoff this year. I think she could have been a good addition to the show.

I bet there was a chip implanted in Dana's head making her the sissy she was and the EMP fried it and set her free.

I know this might be comparing apples and oranges, but season 5 had a similar scenario with Charles Logan. Logan to many was such a wimpy and indecisive President and I recall alot of people couldn't stand his character and then the writers made him out to be the "Mastermind" of the Assasination of David Palmer. I recall there were alot of mixed opinions about his turn. I know Logan was a much better written character without some stupid backstory like Sackhoff's character though.

^ that was the point I gave up on the show the first time.

A mole is fine. Just don't show the person who turns out to be the mole, by themselves an hour before they're revealed, acting differently than an hour later, again when they're by themselves. You'd figure, they'd drop the act slightly if they're alone with nobody around in the Hallway or in the Oval Office.

Interestingly enough I don't think it is that far fetched for this show at this point.

Was "All Along the Watchtower" playing at the same time?

Exactly! These characters are being shown having emotional reactions *by themselves* that would not fit their character. If they were around someone, obviously it would be part of their act. But alone is just a cheap and sloppy slight of hand for the viewer.

Reminds me of Scooby-Doo, where the "monsters" would be all by themselves moaning, groaning and walking around like they just emerged from the fifth level of hell....while all along it is just farmer Jim in costume keeping character with no one else around. That always cracked me up as a little kid.

Since this is the final season, I expect to see some full on ass kicking from Renee and Jack for the final episodes.

From Chloe's Twitter:
Spoiler:
"We're shooting eps 23 &24. I can't believe the shit that's going down! Especially with my character. It's off the chain!"

Who wants to bet she's the one that puts down Danamole?

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "4:00am to 5:00am" -- 03/22/10

Okay this guy on another site I visit came up with a better way for Dana's storyline to make sense:

From: Tivor |
If I was Dana Walsh, I would have told Kevin and his friend to go and rob a place where her cohort terrorists would be waiting to kill them, instead of actually let them rob a police evidence lockup. And the terrorists would have gladly done it too in order to preserve her cover at CTU.

As a result someone else said:

From: JoloStuki |

That's brilliant. The writers could have played it off as a coincidence, and then when she turned heel in episode 13-ish, she could have thanked them for the help. Nothing main-plot related would have had to change.

And as such, we wouldn't have a need for the probation guy, and it works, instead of dragging it out for so long. A few things would have to be changed because Freddie Prinze Jr. would remain at CTU, and we'd need Jack to be in charge, but overall it's a good fit.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "4:00am to 5:00am" -- 03/22/10

I can't believe this show lasted eight seasons while Prison Break only got half that. The latter at least was trying to be relatively fresh every season. Why was PB axed again? I seem to recall liking the fourth season quite a bit, even with its predictability.

As for the current season of 24, it's the sixth season all over again. They should have canned it after last season's great run, at least then there wouldn't have been a bad taste lingering on its way out.

There's a bad taste now...but the season could get a whole lot better. Remember, it's about the 13th/14th hour when the plot usually changes completely.

It still doesn't make up for the completely crappy and utterly radiculousness of the previous hours.
