What a boring premiere. And the board room segment just went on forever. Cindy Lauper looks great.

Looks like Sharon is this years Joan, untouchable. Maybe Cindy also

When the cast was announced I said Sharon would win. I sense another Joan Rivers type scam here. Trump had to promise something to get her on the show.

After last year's debacle, I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to commit to watching this.

I read an interview with Maria, and she said that she liked just about everyone other than
Spoiler:
Cyndi Lauper
who she would never work with again.

As Guess Who pointed out it is kind of ironic that Vince fired Maria two weeks ago, and supposedly she did not see it coming at all.

As a resident of IL, I just have to add in closing...Fuck you Blagojevich. You can't leave my TV screen fast enough.

If Sharon doesn't win I'll be shocked. Say what you will about her, but she is a smart business woman.

And as another IL resident, I agree with mwbmis. Blagojevich is an embarrassment.

I can't believe Cindy was kept around over Leifer. Another case of ratings rather than logic.

I wish they'd just go back to having normal people on the show instead of alleged "celebrities".

I really wish Trump would stop the whole women vs. men angle. That boardroom was pathetic, but hey good to finally see the show in HD.

Trump needs to let up on Rosie O'Donnell. That was pretty brutal, esp. doing it on air.

Trump has been and always will be an asshole. And a bully.

Trump made a comment about "knowing people isn't going to matter starting next task" so hopefully any celebrity help won't count towards actually raising money but still go to the charity since even I'm not big of a dick.

I thought Trump had a couple of funny lines. Not a bad episode considering the "celebrities" and that disgusting hag Joan Rivers leaving her crypt to make an appearance. And while I can see Sharon Osborne getting the Rivers treatment (fix) from Trump, I would have a lot less problem with it since she actually has some talent and isn't nearly as awful a human being.

regular Apprentice returning sometime next tv season.
http://www.realityblurred.com/realit..._Mar_17_return

The non-celebrity Apprentice will return to NBC for a seventh season, the network just announced. Just under a year ago, NBC posted and removed a casting notice for the regular edition, which hasn’t aired in three years. There’s not been official word about the return date, but it will probably air in the fall.

The network’s press release says the show will attach itself to the recession, as “the boardroom will be open again for candidates who have been affected by the decline in the job market” and that “Trump will give the opportunity of their careers to 14 new candidates ranging in age — all of whom have been hit hard by the current economic downturn.”

However, it also says that candidates may be “talented and bright prospects who have lost their jobs with no hope in sight, people who are currently holding down jobs they don’t like just to make ends meet and recent college graduates who currently have few if any prospects.”

In other words: anybody.

Open casting calls have not yet been announced, but the show is casting via [email protected], and wants “information regarding how the recession has impacted their lives” in addition to “a recent photo as well as name, location and occupation history.”

For me, the best part of the show was when Cyndi brought up her friend Rosie, and then Trump's disgusted reaction. Who wants to wager that O'Donnell will in some way be coaxed onto the show and into playing some sort of role during this season just for ratings purposes?

The show s/b cut down to 90 minutes though. I was ff through much of the actual contest.

Better than watching a bunch of multi-millionaires (allegedly) fighting over a job they don't want (read: to be on TV).

OP should list who is playing in the original post.

I'm very happy to read about the original Apprentice making it's return next TV season. Big fan of the original and I never understood why it was regarded that the LA Edition essentially killed the franchise. The show sorely misses George and Carolyn. Don Jr and Ivanka just don't cut it IMO. Could never get into the Celebrity edition.

Timber 03-21-10 05:55 PM

Re: Celebrity Apprentice 2010 -- official thread

Regular edition will suck as well without George and Carolyn. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit. Maybe it's just that Don Jr and Don III suck so hard it makes me long for the previous two.

How come last week Bret Michaels got $100k for his charity but this week Maria only gets $20k for hers? I kind of wanted the men to win, but it's hard to not like anybody with all the great charities.

The whole Make a Wish kids segment had me choking back tears.

sergtv 03-22-10 05:14 AM

Re: Celebrity Apprentice 2010 -- official thread

Brett made 100k cause thats how much money the two teams made combined.. I think Trump put in 3k to make it an even 100.. this week no money was involved with the challenge.. i guess no money challenges = 20k.

Maria did a really good job as PM

she talks bad about everyone behind their backs (during her private camera talks) and yet at the mention of her being project manager this week she sure made an excuse not to do it pretty fast....

He actually said it twice I believe. Once in the boardroom and the other when he was setting up the pictures on the showroom wall. lol
