Damn, a little torn cause I love Cirie as a strategist but I was feeling this season was getting predictable and the Cirie/Amanda/James/Parvati Micronesia-Lite alliance was gonna dominate.
So in that respect, I'm happy.

LOVE the blindside. I can't stand Cirie. She might be a great strategist but she is completely useless in everything else.

Sorry to see Cirie go. I love the way she plays the game.
As long as I sill get to look at Amanda and Candace I can't get too upset about it though.

Great tribal tonight. I think JT made the right move, even though he's going to have to explain himself to his tribalmates. Cirie was really a great strategist and would have kept controlling the tribe had she stayed. And very good use of the idol tonight. Nice when it actually makes a difference.

Here’s why – this season the clues have all been secretive. So there is no way for me to be certain that everybody knows there is an idol in play. Therefore, I can never ask for them to play it at tribal council because I might be giving something away.
That is why every Survivor is told before the game begins that regardless whether I ask for it or not, if they want to play the idol I will always pause before reading the votes giving them ample time to stand up and declare their intention to play it.

Hate Cirie, good riddance.
Short term JT loses numbers but long term Tom and Colby should stay loyal whereas Cirie would've become an enemy at some point.

So now I guess the question is can Colby, Tom, JT flip at least one other person?
Glad to Cirie out - as I posted last week I don't understand why tribes keep the schemers around who don't add much to challenges or camp at the early stage of the game. Pavarati's probably safe for a while thanks to Russell's idiocy...but she should've been sent packing last week.
I also wish the elements would be tougher (they don't seem to be) and rewards a bit more spartan so the people who do work are valued a bit more. It may just be the editing, but conditions don't seem that difficult.
EDIT - it was also good to see Cirie who said "I'm always worried at tribal council" when Jeff asked if she was comfortable with the vote, mouth "wow" when she was voted out... if she really believed you're always at risk why would she be surprised at the vote?

i would like to nominate whomever came up with a challenge idea that involved Amanda getting all greased up, for an Emmy, or an Oscar or something.

If only Russell had realized what that note was in the knife, his legend would be continuing to grow because he would have that idol in his back pocket.

It is a "numbers" game. That is actually a stupid short term thing to burn 4 people in the majority like that. And in the long term he would have no shot at beating someone such as Tom or Colby.

It just depends on how Amanda and James react. And Tom and Colby will always be bigger targets than JT, so he could be sitting pretty.

Guess I was smiling like everyone else when the plan to vote Cirie out worked to perfection. I don't really view her as this ultimate strategic player. She's able to stick around for so long each time since she's not unlikeable, no one ever will view her as a physical threat and she steers clear of ticking others off. Always love everyone's facial expressions during a vote like this. Rupert cracked me up as his smile indicated he was surprised, but it was almost a smile of approval.

Courtney is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.
I hate Tyson, but props to him for laying it on the line to Coach tonight, even if none of it will sink in anyway. Fantastic! Coach asked him what he meant by doing things that made him look like a tool and he immediately launched into the laundry list of douchebag qualities that Coach regularly exhibits. Hilarious!
