I'm watching every episode this season on the big screen.

Re: Lost -- "Lighthouse" -- 02.23.10

Someone over on Lostpedia noticed something that I'll expand on a little. The MiB led Sawyer to an underground cave (Dark) to show him the numbers/names. Jacob gave Hurley instructions to bring Jack to a Lighthouse (Light) to show him the names/numbers.

Is this moving towards Sawyer/Jack taking MiB/Jacob's place on the island?

I'm telling you! Put your money on Walt. Remember his grandmother said she couldn't call them by their real names after they returned from the island?

I don't know about taking their place, but Jack and Sawyer are definitely the "leaders" of opposing forces. Like you said, Sawyer is led down into a dark place and Jack is led up into a light place.

I think the promo art in the OP tells us which side the rest of our Losties will end up on. I'm getting a real The Stand vibe these past few episodes.

I thought the same exact thing. When they were in the lighthouse, right? And I only played about 10 minutes of that game around 10 years ago.

Don't forget that 4+8+15+16+23+42 = 108.

Re: Lost -- "Lighthouse" -- 02.23.10

Did anyone notice:

S1 Character centrics:

Pilot - Part 1: Entire Cast
Pilot - Part 2: Entire Cast
Tabula Rasa: Kate Centric
Walkabout: Locke Centric
White Rabbit: Jack Centric

S6 Character centrics

LA X - Part 1: Entire Cast
LA X - Part 2: Entire Cast
What Kate Does: Kate Centric
The Substitute: Locke Centric
The Lighthouse: Jack Centric

Guess we'll find out next week if they are following the same pattern.

If you really want to know...

Spoiler:
No. Next week is a Sayid centric episode. Season 1's episode 6 was a Sun centric episode.

Good theory though!

I loved this episode. It was very satisfying for me on an emotional level. The NC time-line story between Jack and his son was great, and really surprising to me.

Re: Lost -- "Lighthouse" -- 02.23.10

I've noticed several names from the crew showing up on both the cave wall and on the wheel including Wallace so it may just be a filler name. Since Jacob knew Jack was going to notice his own name and the reflections. Other crew names: Costa, O'Toole.

108 wouldn't be a filler name.

Wallace is no longer a candidate. There's no point in introducing the character now. The only ones that are relevant are the ones not yet crossed out. Even Linus was crossed out.

Nah, 108 =

Though, that all depends on when/if he was laid off.

Speaking of open-shirt Jack, why was he so weirded out about the apendix scar? And did the mom finish saying why Jack's dad wasn't allowed to perform the surgery on Jack?

Re: Lost -- "Lighthouse" -- 02.23.10

I thought the 108 wasn't what Jacob really wanted him there for. The one that needed to find his way to the island was Jack. Meaning he is the one that needed to see that and figure out what to do. It all happend like Jacob wanted it to. No?

Liked how the episode had an Alice in Wonderland book in the beginning. So when Jack is looking through the glass, is he seeing the alternate timeline?
