[sarcasm]What interest rate do Jim and Pam have on their house? That was never explained. I mean, they suddenly just had a house with absolutely no discussion of points, closing costs and the like.[/sarcasm]

It's a good thing I'm not as inquisitive as you when it comes to new hires coming into my workplace.
You would be if you were a WORKPLACEResearcher as opposed to a TVResearcher

They bought it from Jim's parents and it seemed like they might have owned it outright. Often times when you have a seller financed deal...Oh, wait. I see what you did there.

It's a good thing you put those sarcasm tags up so we're all aware you didn't really mean that.

Kelly to Andy: "Don't you know that just makes me like you harder?"

She's a woman who lives in Scranton who applied for a receptionist job.

Not to be a dick about it --again, but aren't these the same answer? Unless whoopdido means that she materialized out of thin air like The Great Gazoo?

I simply said that her backstory was never explained.

Like I said, she just showed up one episode. Who says she lives in Scranton and who says she applied for the receptionist job? She could live in a different town and applied to be an accountant but ended up being hired as the receptionist instead.

Again, her backstory was never explained, as it apparently wasn't important enough to spend time explaining where she came from. She just showed up.

I was directing my thoughts to TVResearcher who felt that my answer was lacking.

I think he's gone. With challenging questions like "Why come she came from nowhere?" he wasn't going to last long on these boards

Oh...well, I wasn't trying to be snotty anyway.

TVResearcher seemed to be a little sensitive.

My theory is that Erin come from when her parents did it. But until it's explicitly shown on the show it's not canon.
