Castle did really well last night. Finished 1st in the timeslot with over 10M viewers and a 3.1 in the 18-49 demo, even though it was against a CSI Miami repeat.
I think it's pretty much a lock for a 3rd season now.

I loved this episode. And it was great to see the daughter in more than just a silent cameo.

I almost deleted the episode, because during the first 3 or 4 minutes of the show, only the background music was playing (annoyingly and loudly). The actors' lips were moving but there was no audio for their dialogue. I missed out on the newspaper joke because that occured at the start of the show. I only realized what happened when Beckett asked about the story. I knew that Castle was supposed to be an eligible bachelor, but had no idea why he wanted to keep it from Beckett until then.

Becket: What do we tell them?
Castle: This is gonna be awkward.
Becket: They'll be okay.

Except the writers know how to use her whenever she has lines. I agree she should appear more, but she is golden every time she has lines!
And cheer for using Rick "Ben" Gonzalez from Reaper!!!

This show is easily the funniest murder-mystery on tv.

Fillion sure does play the ham role amazingly well... the eligible bachelor storyline fit both his character and his acting perfectly.
The line about "I sometimes forget I'm not a cop" and Beckett response of "I don't" (or something to that effect) I thought was pretty damn funny too...
While the show is great revolving around Beckett and Castle, it would be nice if they developed the junior detectives a bit more every once in a while..

What is your problem with the mother freakin' snakes on the mother freakin' plane?
My wife turned me on to Castle two weeks ago ... I just don't normally watch shows on TV. I'm going to have to go back and watch it from the beginning!

I enjoyed this one a lot. There were a lot of jokes and fun moments. Completely back on track from the previous episode that was just...akward...
