Chuck -- "Chuck Versus First Class" -- 01/25/10

Chuck

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
It's a French connection for Chuck when he departs to Paris for his first solo assignment. During the flight, he connects with a woman (Kristin Kreuk), but the trip turns turbulent when he tangles with a menacing passenger ("Stone Cold" Steve Austin). Meanwhile, Morgan battles Jeff and Lester for power at Buy More.

Kristin Kreuk, who played Lana on Smallville guest stars.

Brandon Routh will also return for this episode.

Hopefully Kreuk doesn't totally bring down the episode like she did on Smallville.

Huh?

For what it's worth I've heard she's good here.

She doesn't...I was actually pleasantly surprised with her on this show. She didn't seem out of her depth. Brandon Routh's character is getting more interesting and I liked seeing him push Chuck to go out on his own. Solid ep and the look on Lester's face at the end was creepy as hell. Classic.

I liked the episode but I'm kind of missing Anna. Tom Cruise and Lana Lang did good jobs in their rolls. The only thing I didn't really care for was how they did with the plane and how they saved Chuck by doing it.

this episode didn't do that much for me, although next week's show looks good.

I've never watched Smallville, but I must say she was definitely hotter than Sarah this episode. She'll be a nice addition.

Other than the stuff I already knew about *^ ahem* , I thought it was a pretty tepid episode. A couple of good chuckles. No big surprises. Wondering about the whole Hannah thing and seeing how it works out (and for how many episodes).

Kreuk was good.

"Insurgents"

I'm really liking Routh. He was also great in Zack & Miri. I wonder why he hasn't gotten more work since Superman.

I'm liking both Superman and Lana Lang. I always liked Kreuk despite the fact that LL got annoying from the whole will-they, won't they that happened on Smallville. I've liked Routh in pretty much everything I've seen him in (like his small part in Zack and Miri, in Fling and can't wait for Scott Pilgrim..) and this is no exception especially since we're starting to know more about him.

Loved the Casey/Morgan storyline.

Superman and Lana Lang. I'm loving this show. I thought it would suck with Chuck getting powers but this season is the best one so far.

I enjoyed the episode and love Kruek. She was never annoying because of her acting. It was the way Lana was written on Smallville.

See, now I agree with you 100% about her. But there are a lot of haters here! Man, we only got a little glimpse of her legs on the plane, but boy is she in good shape.

And this episode was running on all cylinders. Very funny and interesting on the plane and at the Buy More.

Suprised no one noticed that the poisoning scenes were an homage to Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.

Oh, and Apple must have made Jesus phone because I don't know how Chuck was able to use his iPhone on the airplane. I know there is one European airline who permits cell phone use but not on transatlantic flights.

Also loved the teaser for next weeks episode where Sarah is wearing a Frak Off t-shirt.

Supes mentioned earlier when they gave it to him that the phone was on a private network.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking!

We really enjoyed the episode, although my wife, for some reason, thinks Hannah could be a Ring agent. I hope not.

I thought Hannah was involved at first, but maybe she's actually working with Shaw.

It was nice progression not seeing Chuck do the "flash dammit, flash" schtick this episode and the intersect worked properly.

I've never seen Smallville, but I didn't realize that Hannah was Fiona in Eurotrip.

Even more shocking to me was that the Flight Attendant was Sarah Powell in Charles in Charge.

For a split second during the credits I thought the episode guest-starred the 6 Million Dollar Man.

"Superman, Lana, and the 6 Million Dollar Man? Awesome!!"

I loved the tip of the hat to "The Manchurian Candidate" with Lester at the end.

It's official - "CHUCK" is my favorite show.

I thought the "powers" things was going to be dumb- but it's hilarious!

Lester is awesome. He nails everything they have him do.

Damn Lana looked hot here, hope she sticks around for a while.
