You know what? I didn't see an uncomfortableness at first, but when I skipped to the end on Hulu, there was the happy smile I remembered the first time...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...idel/smile.jpg

and then the smile faded and it looked like she was getting ready to say something...

Oh, crap.

Actually, its a brilliant choice: If the show hadn't been picked up, you have a happy ending, but the next moment, after the cut to black, - could be so many things, happy or sad. After all, she might still turn him down, or tell him that she wants to wait (until the end of the season, while a new complication brews)....

Who do I have to puck around here to get a Glee based Drink Man strip?

Soon after, Mr. Long was replaced by Miss Pillsbury, but not before the inspiration was placed within Rachel for her opening number at Sectionals...

...and that ain't all he placed within her! OH!!!

Great stuff (the entire season and the fall finale) - and the wait until April will be interminable.

I was digging the Brittany/Santana hand movements during the final number

I spotted something interesting during Rachel's performance of "Parade". Right after she gets onstage, watch her right leg after she sings the line "my heart's a drummer". She has a band-aid right below her knee, and in the very next cut it's gone.

So that's Santana, I assume it was one of the nameless guys on the football squad.

That definately makes it more interesting.

Agreed. Though I do like Artie's "Dancing With Myself" as a standalone.

Santana: Sex is not dating.
Brittany: If it were, Santana and I would be dating.

I'm more surprised that Brittany used the subjunctive correctly.

What's amazing to me about the finale is that it literally had very little in the way of surprises, and I still liked it. I mean, everyone and their mother could have predicted the plotpoints:
1) Finn finding out, getting mad, quitting the club, leading to an emotional return at sectionals
2) Glee kids winning sectionals despite the other teams cheating by pulling a rabbit out of their hat at the last moment
3) Emma getting the wedding cancelled/called off because of something to do with will
4) Will realizing at the very end how much he likes Emma
5) Sue getting her comeuppance

main surprise, to me, was the judging panel, which was great.

It does seem like they compress a ton of stuff in each episode. I'm still confused how Will gave the setlist to Sue last week, but then they have to come up with a setlist at the last moment (and then there's the admission by Brittany that she leaked the setlist anyway). It's like they couldn't make up their minds. What, did the opposing team learn about Mercedes solo a few days before and come up with a routine? Also, the whole canceled wedding thing, where Will was the only one who didn't know, and Emma not bothering to tell Will about the win (I realize this was done for dramatic effect, and in the second case there was something bigger going on). All nitpicky, though, as we enjoyed the show throughout.

Not sure what to say about all the other stuff, but concerning Emma not telling Will about the win: I don't see how Will wouldn't have known about it, whether by Emma or some other way. I'm sure he knew about it, but he probably didn't actually see the trophy until they showed it to him.

If you're a fan of the glee club/show choir aspect of the show, The Sing Off starts tonight on NBC.

(You know if you have to explain it....) I too wasn't clear about the set list thing, but rewatching the episode:

Quinn admits the Cheerios had been recruited to spy by Sue, but then Santana denies giving the last minute set list to her; Brittany says she did, but didn't know how Sue was going to use it. I concluded that they were feeding information to Sue all the time...even up to the time they left on the bus. The other schools would have had to have had all McKinley's reptoire "ready." But it was pretty sure from last week that "Proud Mary" (...in wheelchairs) and "Don't Stop Believing" were "sure." Only the ballad was up for question, and after all "And I am Telling You"...is a popular song. :rimshot:

We don't know exactly when Ken backed out of the wedding, but I find it consistent that Emma would let Will show up at the cancelled wedding. She had lied to Will about Ken being okay with her sponsoring the glee club, and she needed to set that straight. I found this perhaps the best written scene in the episode since it clarified both character's motives and feelings.

The entire scene in Figgins office would have to have everyone knowing who won Sectionals...except us. Will knew they won, he just hadn't seen the trophy. We didn't see Emma tell Will, because we weren't privy to the moment when the winner was announced by the judges. Will would have been on the phone with Emma at that particular moment, don't you think?

And, yes, the judges were amazing and the humor reminiscent of the pilot.

My word is official. Let it be written.

Congrats on the Golden Globe Nominations! Lea Michele right up there with Edie Falco, Tina Fey, Tony Collete and Courtney Cox!

Jane Lynch was also nominated, and unlike Lea Michele she will almost certainly win.

Mr. Shue (Matthew Morrison) also got a nom. But he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

Jany Lynch should get it.

... on a side note, I was watching "The ballad of Ricky Bobby" last night and forgot that Jane Lynch plays his mother.

OK...correct me if I'm wrong, but the new season starts in April?
When will a DVD be released with the last episodes?

Sounds like you just started watching this on DVD and are way behind.

This thread you posted in was episode 13 from season 1. There was a 4 month hiatus and the season continued in April 2010 and finished up around early June.

Season 1 is already on DVD. There are 2 options for buying it:
1) The complete 1st season
2) Volume 1 and 2 separately (Volume 1 has 13 episodes and Volume 2 has 9)

We are currently on season 2, which premiered in September. The show is currently on hiatus until the post-Super Bowl episode in February.

On DVD I already have Glee Director's Cut Pilot Episode, Season 1 Volume 1 Road To Sectionals and Glee Season 1 Volume 2 Road To Regionals.

So is there a Volume 2 I don't have or know about?

-screwy- Ehhh? You just said you have Volume 2 of season 1.

If that's the case, you already have season 1 (all 22 episodes)

Season 2 is currently airing on TV right now and is not on DVD yet. It premiered in September and 10 of 22 episodes have already aired.
