I think that Mark shoots Dimitri because ... oh, let's say KGB mind control. It makes as much sense as anything else on this show.

But given last night's episode, I fear that we're treading into dangerous time-travel territory. "Dangerous" because almost every other show I've seen that's delved into these waters (Heroes, Lost, etc.) have completely screwed up the storyline.
Out of curiosity, are you still an Ayn Rand girl given the fact that there's a strong case to be made that card-carrying Rand acolyte Alan Greenspan and his Randian policies contributed mightily to the financial meltdown?
