Your favorite SOUTH PARK episode?
There are a great many now - a lot of which aren't on DVD, so if you missed one of the later episodes, you might have missed something great. Or not. South Park seasons have its share of gold and its equal share of clunkers.
Which episodes are pure gold?
For me, I don't remember which episode it was, but it involved a Bizarro world where a "good Cartman" emerged in South Park, and was so nice that Stan, Kyle, and Kenny/Butters (forget if it was during the death of Kenny seasons) were totally perplexed by the change.
Good Carman sang a little song to his friends, like this: You guys are my best friends, through thick or thin, we'll always be together, we're one of a kind, hang around all day, pal'in around, and laughing away, we're best friends! Best friends are we!!! I love you guys!

Scott Tenorman. Or the Sea Monkey episode. Hell any episode where Cartman is the main charactor. Actually thinking about it my fav would have to be one of the early episodes from around 99 I think where Stans sister went to babysit Cartman and he was dressed up like Will Smith from Wild Wild West and there was a cat orgy.
That was back before Cartman was so jaded and evil. I wish they would go back to those kind of episodes and have less current news satire episodes.

Here's a quick Top 5 for me.. probably not entirely accurate.
1. Scott Tenorman Must Die
2. It Hits the Fan
3. Child Abduction Is Not Funny
4. Simpson's Already Did It
5. Die Hippie, Die

The Terry Schiavo/PSP episoe (I think its called "Best Friends Forever")
In second place, I really enjoyed the "Faith plus one" episode, as well as the "Awesome-o 3000" episode.

Scott Tenorman Must Die would definitely be my favorite. After that it becomes harder to choose. I'll give honorable mention to Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery just because I'm a sucker for the Scooby Doo parody...

Jesus Christ Vs. Satan in a boxing match. I loved Cartman's tantrum at his own birthday party.
What was the name of the Bigfoot-type creature that had Patrick Duffy as a right leg?

The best for me was the episode when they all bought ninja weapons. I loved how the screen would go widescreen and they all would turn into anime characters when they were using them. Then of course there's what ended up happening to butters...

I think just about any Cartman centered episode is hilarious. My favorite aside from "Scott Tennorman Must Die" is "The Tooth Fairy Tats 2000" S4 (Wow! That's totally TITS!"), "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig" S1 ("Kyle? You keep your hands off mah Fluffy!"), "Cow Days" S2 ("Me sucky, sucky. Me love you long time!") and "Kenny Dies" S5 ("Come on, Ken. You're breakin' mah balls here.").
Best non-Cartman may be "Butters' Very Own Episode" from S5 and "Towelie" S5 (seriously, I don't know WHY I like that one).
Oh and BTW I still giggle a little bit when I think of the timing in this piece of Cartman lines:
"Hey guys, do you know what Jewish women's breasts are called?"
(long silent pause as the rest ignore him)
"Joobs."

I think my favorite is "The Terrance and Phillip Movie Trailer" - this is the one with the Russell Crowe show.

I love the Not Without My Anus episode for the big joke on the viewers. Too bad they were all big crybaby pussies about it and they had to actually make the sequel episode. Thankfully they were able to rock the hell out of that episode and still screw the viewers out of the answer to the question.

man, I guess we have to wait until the series is completely over before a CD is released that has all the silly songs - like mine in the OP, and Underpants Gnomes, etc. There has to be a lot! The Russell Crowe ditty is another funny/cute one.
I'm not even talking about the raunch found on the movie soundtrack. Merely the cute/innocent/funny tunes from the TV show.

I have a lot of favorites, but I guess the first Mr. Hankey episode from Season One would be #1 just for being the one that made me a diehard fan of the show. (I quite honestly didn't "get" the show until I saw that episode - after that, I was hooked.)

Good stuff.
And the monster in "Volcano" was called Scuzzlebutt.
