Jack is right. It's a cast member that has been conspicuously absent as a part of the fucking plot.
Not to mention, as was already mentioned earlier, it's against forum rules. If you don't like it, I'm sure there are many other message boards that don't have these rules that you can go visit.

Glad to see I'm not the crazy person here. And lol on the Don Draper spoiler, because I was going to do that yesterday...then decided not to add fuel to the fire and stayed conspicuously absent for the rest of the day.

It's not against the forum rules because it is not a fucking spoiler. Do you not use your brain? The actress is still on the show, it is painfully obvious she will return in one way or another. She's only been absent for 2 episodes - many regular characters come and go like this. Heck, they've gotten into her life away from the office enough where I completely disagree with your retarded assertion that she's been "conspicuously absent" (and exactly what of this "plot" you speak of was reveled?) - it's obvious to anyone with a brain they'd get back to her and her situation eventually. Saying that she's in an upcoming episode is about as much a spoiler as me telling you that the sun is going to rise tomorrow. Just accept that you're wrong on this one. So, so wrong.

Where were you guys yesterday when I was seething?
Anyway - back to the show - I'm surprised they never changed up the cartoon theme opening once the show got legs. It never really made sense to me - somebody (looks like Don from the silouette) jumping off the building to their death, but the last frame shows him watching TV?! Firstly, why would the guy want to commit suicide, and what does that have to do with the show? Secondly, if you're going to have a guy commit suicide (is that foreshadowing?), why have him safe at the end?

He's not committing suicide. He didn't jump off a building.
He's falling because the world (literally) fell apart around him.
Falling = loss of control

From this thread: TV TALK Posting Guidelines [Spoiler Tags and Starting Episode Threads]
PROMO SPOILERS:
If you're going to discuss official information about an upcoming episode (ie. stuff shown in the "next week on..." segment, or print/broadcast advertisement/teasers) please make sure that you either use spoiler tags or start a thread with some kind of warning in the thread title
Or, you could start a thread about "next weeks show (spoilers)" and discuss the teaser in there. But the threads discussing the current show need to spoiler the teaser information.
It's fine to discuss this stuff, but let's give everyone the choice to decide whether they want to see it or not.

What part of that are you too stupid to understand?
XXX had no part of this episode (you know, the one that the thread was created to discuss).

No, no, I'm pretty sure the cartoon opening is totally literal. It's like Cool World, he was a cartoon who became human.

Maybe it's just me, but sometimes I like to be surprised when a character shows up who hasn't shown up for a while. For instance, if I had known Joan was going to be in that last episode she was in, I don't think I would have been nearly as surprised when she made her appearance to Pete.
Of course, I DO watch the previews for this show (but usually not others) so there you go. I've always liked the way Mad Men does their previews. Hints of stuff, snippets of conversations but no context. It teases but gives nothing away (character appearances notwithstanding).

Jesus Christ I can't believe this is an issue. Knowing an actor/actress that is and has been more than a semi-regular cast member IS NOT a spoiler. Knowing that one innocuous tidbit gives away ZERO plot what so ever. You have no idea in what capacity the story line is headed from that at all. You cannot possibly start to infer what happens on the next episode from that one little sentence.
At first I was going to joke and say you don't watch the opening credits since that would be a SPOILER too. Then I thought this wouldn't be too far fetched for some people not to do.

Was Buttmunker discussing something that was shown in the "next week on" segment after the episode aired?
Pretty simple really. I'll be waiting.

I just think someone pissed in their corn flakes yesterday. Or they just didn't care for the way I combed my hair. One of them things.
Damn good thing I didn't say I saw XXX standing XXXX, that would have sent the haters over the frikkin' edge. If I had gone that far, I would be able to say, "okay, I done fucked up," and would profusely apologize.
I was only in the middle of Season 4 of The Wire when I happened to go over to Wikipedia to read some character bios, and BAM - right out of the gate they told me a character met his demise by MURDER. Not all the way down in the column, where that kind of information should have been, but right up on the top-right-hand side where the born/died info goes. Now that was a spoiler.
You people have no idea what having a show spoiled for you really means. You people sound like whiners.
