No, Diana is American. That's why the whole gag with her undercover character was clever.

Didn't Marsha Thomason "Diana" have an English accent when she was on "Las Vegas"?

She did, her character on Las Vegas was British.

Considering Marsha Thomason is British, the accent likely isn't too hard for her to pull off! ;)

She disappeared for a season, maybe you're thinking of her replacement.

LOVED it. Best ep. of the season IMO for sure. Mozzie is the best character on this show--loved his Ferris Bueller.

 Loved this episode.

The Mozzie flashbacks were awesome. at baby Mozzie with the glasses.

The case of the week was really fun also. Robert John Burke was a cool villain.

 at Peter and Neal's argument.

Neal to Peter: "You can tell that hot wife of your not to call when she gets lonely"

It was nice seeing June again too.

Really solid season so far

I wonder what they'd think if they knew that Bomer is really gay...?

Loved the episode (although I liked the pacing of the last episode better).

That last scene was awesome between Neal and Peter, though.

I like how they did a Scorsese like scene with young Mozzie.

"Have your gorgeous (beautiful?) wife call me!" and then Peter's look. rotfl

Was the fedora seen last episode? If not - glad it's back.

Re: White Collar -- "Veiled Threat" -- 7/05/11

This was a very uneven episode. A lot of style with little substance. Some great characters stuff but I kept waiting for the reveal that a stalker was killing her husbands or something because they had no evidence that she was a killer at all.

Weird things in this ep:

First, that the FBI would even setup a sting like this. It would be stretch for the feds to even investigate one of the suspected murders, let alone setup a sting operation.

And the FBI apparently monitors the applications for bachelor auctions. I'm assuming they acquire these covertly because I don't think Mr. Weekend at Bernie's would be supplying them to the FBI if he was running a scam charity/bachelor auction/murder enterprise.

Did they someone actually say "LA's autopsy came in. Her last husband died from a stab wound in the neck. A street mugging, she was the only witness and they never caught the killer. And it happened while they were out to dinner." Now that's an autopsy report! Is Quincy still working as an LA medical examiner? :)

Finally, why did they play up her having a knife in that scene like it created any tension. You have to become a wife before you can be a black widow. Killing a guy on the first date isn't very profitable. They had Caffrey say something about "maybe she is a serial killer...maybe he caught on to her plan."...but it wasn't convincing.

Also, here's a pro-top for Mozzy: Don't mail a grappling hook, mail a "boat anchor" instead. That's what we had to do so we could make "boat anchors" in Jr. High shop class.

Re: White Collar -- "Veiled Threat" -- 7/05/11

^^ Yeah the episode was a little uneven, but it was still very entertaining. I'm not even sure why the White Collar task force would have been assigned to this case. They were treating Selena like she was some sort of Basic Instinct Catherine Trammell-type serial killer as opposed to a White Collar criminal.

 at the auction when Neal only got $1,000 from Diana of all people.

rotfl I loved Peter's date with Selena. I was dying when he referred to Mozzie as "Havisham" He got damn lucky that Mozzie walked in and Neal/Sara already happened to be there on their dinner date.

 at Elizabeth actually feeling threatened by Selena. The ending with Peter and Elizabeth renewing their vows was really sweet. This was a fun episode to get us away from the Nazi Treasure arc for at least 1 week. It was nice to see Peter and Neal work together and not 2nd guessing each other and their trust.

:thumbsup: to whoever cast Madchen Amick as the villainess. Great choice.

Patman 07-06-11 09:35 AM

Re: White Collar -- "Veiled Threat" -- 7/05/11

The cat-n-mouse aspect of this show and the character interactions are what make this show mostly breezy and fun to watch.

Madchen Amick was finally starting to look her age, but only in broad daylight, still mighty tasty.

Re: White Collar -- "Veiled Threat" -- 7/05/11

Yeah, the episode was absurd, but fun. As in many of these weekly "procedurals" though, the casting often gives away the twist. As soon as I saw Jonathan "Weekend at Bernie's" Silverman playing the auction host at the beginning, I knew he would be in on the murders somehow.

So apparently USA has taken alot of crap for the new opening title sequence. They are conducting a fan vote on whether to keep the new sequence or dump it.

http://www.tvguide.com/News/White-Co...l-1034982.aspx

Voting begins on Friday July 8th.

Jeff Eastin just said on his Twitter page if the old sequece wins, they will add shots of Jones and Sara to it.

 at Mozzie taking the $50 off of Peter. Making Diana and Jones regulars was a good move, this show is on a roll this season.

 Cool. The old opening wasn't a classic or anything, but the new one just sucks.

Re: White Collar -- "Veiled Threat" -- 7/05/11

Best season of WC yet. The characters and chemistry are a work of art. It doesn't matter what case they are working it's just a blast to watch it unfold.

However having a B list (C?) celebrity in the opening sequence only to disappear for the next 40 is always a dead giveaway for the 'surprise' baddie at the end.

 on the title sequence vote. Bring back the old.

BTW, just voted and the original theme is stomping the new one. 10k to 1,500.
