I'm curious. What's the story with Monopoly?

It was a question in Everything Sheep asking people to name a board game produced by Milton Bradley. The most popular answer was Monopoly, but a couple people who got lower scores by naming actual MB games were upset.

It was a perfect illustration of what the game is about.

Just my opinion, but people should NOT be rewarded for responses that aren't possibly correct answers to the question asked --no matter how many people the answer matches, they should be penalized. Again, just my opinion.

I'd honestly love to see this move back to pure sheep at some point (not that I don't love the current game and the ones I have played). I'd like to see it be all regular sheep, no multipliers, and all answers count. Being able to gauge when the herd is going to answer incorrectly should be part of the challenge.

I agree. We're not playing Jeopardy ... it's Sheep! Sheep move with the herd, even if the herd is walking off a cliff. While incorrect answers should obviously be penalized for the reverse sheep questions, it seems against the spirit of the game to do it for regular sheep questions.

BTW, got my answers in! And of course I think of a couple better answers as soon as I send the pm. We'll see if anyone dares to roll with the infamous "Roc" in this one

Well, this rule isn't necessarily penalizing incorrect answers, it's just rewarding people for giving a correct answer even if it's less popular. I can see the merit in cutting people slack for trying to be accurate all the time even if I completely disagree with it.
