Another terrible photoshop job. Is it that hard to set up a shot like this?
Oh well, the premier was leagues better than all of season 2 so I'm looking forward to this.

I think he loves it. He gets to curse, smoke, drink and have simulated sex with practically every woman on this show. No wonder he and Tea Leoni were having marital problems....LOL

Hank as a college professor is priceless.
I hope we get to see that student-stripper's tatas at some point this season.

Showtime renews 'Californication'
David Duchovny-starrer gets fourth season
By STUART LEVINE
Showtime has picked up a fourth season of "Californication."
Season three opened to strong ratings and network topper Robert Greenblatt figured it was the appropriate time to greenlight another 12 episodes.
Season three's premiere scored 1.2 million viewers (including an opening-night encore presentation) and was up 57% from the previous season's opener.
Skein, which airs at 10 p.m. Sundays and stars David Duchovny as a sex addict trying to balance his family and job, is exec produced by Duchovny, Tom Kapinos and Gina Fattore.

Is it just me or does this show seem a lot funnier this season? I have always enjoyed the show, but never found it laugh-out-loud funny. But this season, Hank has really been making me laugh.
Still giggling over "Live strong asshole!" and flicking the cigarette butt at Peter Gallagher on the bike.

She's got an amazing pair.
EDIT - Patman beat me to it.
The whole Rape storyline was stupid in my opinion. There's no way Runkle was stupid enough to believe that Marcy was getting raped - not by what she was saying. It's hard to believe anyone would take it as anything but role-playing. And then he decides to role-play a rape even though Marcy wasn't in on it? Terrible writing that really make the characters seem beyond retarded.
Also Hank's starting to annoy me with how childish he's being. He's like a child with ADD.
I hope the characters don't stay this stupid and irritating.

Yeah, I'm not too huge a fan of Mr. and Mrs. Runkle anymore. The less we see of their weird bullshit the better.

has anyone else noticed that Hank seems much more douchier than normal? i don't know what it is, but i am not liking how Duchovny is playing Hank so far this year. it seems more assholish than usual and i am not sure i am liking it.
even with Becca, who he would protect to the ends of the earth and when it comes to her, he really is a good father and knows right from wrong in that regard, but his less than father-like reaction to when she was smoking pot last ep.? i mean he didn't really do anything and i think the past 2 seasons prior he would have much more so.
something, to me, seems off with his portrayal.
