I'm really surprised no one is calling ben a 'cop killer'.
Can't believe russel found that idol. I'm still on the fence on how I feel about him. I want to hate him, but can't help but think he's playing the game hard and good.

I was surprised they had a tribal counsel with Mike going down. Maybe it was because there was no reward challenge?
Isn't Yasmin the name of a birth control pill? She would be as good as birth control for me.

For the folks complaining about Russell, how can you not say one thing about that disgusting Ben. It can be argued that Russell is just "playing the game" but Ben's obviously a seriously racist, trashy person. "Ketchup sandwiches and Kool-Aid"??
He's obnoxious, and thats really him, not just a game persona.

I am trying to sit out on survivor after how shitty of a season Big Brother was, but you kind of have to wonder if they are just hypin up Russell's behavior then he will be gone in several weeks.

I can only hope Jaison lets the cat out of the bag and gets folks to blind-side Evil Troll Russell.

Anyone else, upon seeing Yasmin's behavior at the Foa Foa camp, immediately think that she was the one chosen to visit
1. To annoy the hell out of the Foa Foa tribe
AND
2. To get her the hell away from her tribe for at least a few hours so that they wouldn't be forced to kill her first ...
I was hoping that the Foa Foa members would return her to her tribe - bound & gagged. There was nothing in Jeff's instructions that prohibited that, was there???

And then Jeff would have asked them if they were ashamed for being the first person ever ejected from camp

Wow, so everyone thinks the idol is real?
He was looking for it with people all around him. One person even asked him what he was doing, and he said, "Looking for the immunity idol." I didn't see if he said it to the swimming black guy, but it looked like he said it loud enough for people to here, which would be great strategy if it's fake.
How easy would it be to make a fake idol and letter at home and smuggle it in? People have made them on location, but if anyone brought one with them, they'd be fucking brilliant. The only thing keeping me from being 100% convinced it's fake is the camera showing him grabbing it from inside the stump. But was the camera just sitting in the tree for days? Powered by what? If it was a handheld camera, why wouldn't the entire tribe wonder why a member of the crew was shoving a camera inside the tree when Russell was reaching in? Something about it doesn't add up, and too many things point to it being fake.

It is real.
First of all, if it was fake we would know. They wouldn't let a move like that happen without us knowing. There would be no point for them to hide it from us.
Second, the clue Yasmin received described the exact place where Russell found the idol. She received this clue after Russell had already found the idol.
Lastly, just read Jeff Probst's blog (it's linked somewhere in this thread). He talks about Russell finding the idol and what a good move it was.

Best line of the episode that had me falling out of my chair:
Ben on Yamine: "She can go back to eating her Ketchup Sandwiches and Kool Aid"

Other than that, not shocked that Betsy got the boot. Even though I hate Russell, I'm really impressed how he's playing the game so far. Even more impressed that he found the Immunity Idol with no clue.
