I hope the inevitable cellphone footage of it comes out. As it sounds now, Clarkson is a dick of a mean drunk and the producer is a little bitch.

I liked May and Hammond much more than Clarkson, who just seemed like a huge fucking asshole!

Just saying.
Yeah...shoot the original format here. The current U.S. version sucks and I can`t stand the hosts. I have no problem with what happened; that producer was probably saying some crazy shit, also.

I like the fact that Clarkson hates 911s. I always crack up when he puts down my car.

There will never be a test lap for the Porsche 918, McLaren P1, and LaFerrari. So sad.

I was disappointed that the summary of the BBC investigation they released didn't mention what the dust up was about at all or any information about the circumstances surrounding it.

I believe I read that he was pissed because his lunch was cold.

There have been several versions out there, from "he was pissed he couldn't get a steak after coming back from the pub" to "they were shooting for 12 hours with no food as part of the bit/segment they were filming that day and the punched producer was suppose to have a meal ready for them at the end."

I don't know if there has been anything on the record from anyone, which is why I was hoping for a little clarity from the BBC report.

Doesn't matter what really started it, just curious how much it escalated before the punch.

...if they ever do The Slap season 2.

Re: Top Gear - Series 14 (UK - November 15; US -TBD)

Someone did a poll on who should replace Clarkson. The most popular choice was Steve Coogan.

Second was Chris Evans, the morning radio host who paid a bazillion dollars for James Coburn's Ferrari California.

Third was Sabine Schmidt, the Queen of the Nurburgring who tried to drive a van around that track in less than 10 minutes back in series 5 or 6 (and a host of the German version of Top Gear).
