Omar is the cherry...what a perfect cast.

I thought True Blood was filling that space for now.

I love the part when in the promo when the young man says to Buscemi's character:"I just want the opportunity," and he responds with: "This is America, who the fuck's stopping you?"

This thing looks to be better than anything hitting the theaters for the rest of the year.

This looks amazing. Really, Scorsese and Steve Buschemi together in an HBO series - what's NOT to like?

Looks like HBO will make up for their poor decision of passing on Mad Men. This continues to look very promising.

i assume a full series, as they have said on hbo ads that it is an 'hbo original series' if it wasn't, they'd hype it as a mini

When does it start?

I don't think it has a specific start date yet. Just sometime this fall.

If HBO runs true to form, they'll premiere it either the same week or the week after the season finale of True Blood. Since there are 12 weeks of True Blood and they will probably take July 4 and Labor Day weekends off, that puts the finale of True Blood at September 12 and the debut of Boardwalk Empire at either September 12 or September 19.
