I still love this show, but please can they introduce some new ideas.

Wow...somebody switched the other other team. Never seen that before.

It seems like this season has been going on forever -- and there's still seven "chefs" remaining!

Suzanne won't win, that's all that matters. As annoying as she is, the drama makes for good TV. Plus, Andy needed to go.

Van calling Jean Phillipe whistle britches had me rolling.

Jim, Kevin and Ariel are the only halfway decent chefs. Same as always. Actually Tenille has been a little better lately, but she's still annoying as Hell.

For having a background as a "chef"... these people suck at cooking. I'm not one to talk because I can only grill :)... but why in the hell do these "chefs" have such a hard time making lamb medium well or rissoto or crepes?

Because most of them have, like you said, a cooking background. They're not chefs.

No real point in comparing the two shows because they're supposed to be different and I'm sure it's been discussed many times in these threads, but for the most part, the worst Top Chef contestent would wipe the floor with the best Hell's Kitchen contestent. The people on Top Chef are real chefs.

Just noticed that my Tivo says there are no episodes of Hells Kitchen over the next two weeks. Anyone know whats up. I can't find anything on the fox site.

Dave or Kevin seem to be the likely winners, possible Ariel

everyone else, no chance

Tenille is growing on me but she won't win

Did anyone notice the mistake from the episode 2 weeks ago?

Around the 49 minute mark, there was a shot of Gordon yelling at Amanda and you could clearly see Tek in the background, even though she was already voted out. It looks like when they edited the episode, they added Gordon's dialogue over a stock shot from earlier this season.

Oops, I said Jim. I meant Dave.

Right, I think those are the only 3 than have any shot. There are usually 2 or maybe 3 people that are far and away the best of the bunch and these 3 are it for this season.

I demand a commentary team next season of Tenille, Van and Robert. Those 3 have had some of the best sit down segments ever. Van calling everyone names, including himself a "scumbag" has been my favorite part of this season.

and Tenille shouting at the top of her lungs in the interview !

the fact is Van and Tenille would not be taken seriously in any kitchen

Suzanne dodged a bullet again, the self-serving bitch. Ramsey's just keeping her in for the drama.
As much as I like soft-spoken, self-effacing Dave, it looks like he's on the receiving end of another injury next week. Tenille needs to tone down the ebonics. She's embarrassing. Van's nothing more than a red-faced, loud-mouthed Southern meathead. No way he'd be running a prestigious restaurant anywhere but in Texas.

Just a heads up there is no show next week.

Re: Hell's Kitchen -- Season 6 Thread -- Premieres 7/21/09

They are actually showing 2 episodes back to back the following week.

Can't believe there is still another month left to the season.

I think Gordon keeping Suzanne was more of a producer decision than him. Based on the episode alone, it would have been way too obvious that she had to go. I think every season does this at least once to see if a train wreck like her will actually get any better on the other team.

I do agree with the decision to dump Andy. The lack of dexterity (sp) excuse simply didn't cut it.

I'm getting really tired of Whoopi Goldberg mouthing off.

So there wasn't a new episode last Tuesday, but there were two back-to-back new episodes last night.

Results of the show:
Spoiler:
Sabrina was voted off in the first episode and Van was kicked off the second. I'm REALLY shocked that he let Suzanne stay.. again.. when clearly, she should have been gone by now.

Van seemed to have too much attitude for Chef Ramsay, and he really messed up quite a bit over the past few services. Sabrina should've been let go a while back. Suzanne didn't want to plate the dinners, so she really should've gone before Van.

I can't understand why Dave is supposed to be so upset with Tennille next week. They've all stated that when you get the black coat it's every man for himself, and the only reason Chef Ramsay pressed Tennille about the weakest chef was because he wanted Van gone. That was the right thing for her to do to advance herself.

Van was one of my least favorites because of his attitude, but during the start and middle of the season I couldn't complain because he held his own in the kitchen, but that changed for the worst.

If Tennille could somehow learn to stop speaking in all CAPS she could actually become tolerable.
