Jack Shepard and his Lost Sheep (AKA the next round of TV Talk Sheep)
- Rules
- The object of the game is to out-think everyone by picking answers to questions that are the most common (Sheep) or least common (Reverse Sheep), but still correct.
- Example Sheep question: "Name an actress on Lost." A good answer would be Evangeline Lilly and a bad answer might be Zuleikha Robinson.
- Example Reverse Sheep question: "Name an actor on Lost". Matthew Fox might be a bad answer, but Malcolm David Kelley might be a good answer. (Unless everyone is trying to go as obscure as possible).
- Sheep scores are tallied as negative numbers. Reverse Sheep scores are tallied as positive numbers. The lowest score wins.
- The answers to each question are tallied up. Wrong answers in Reverse Sheep are scored three points above the most common answer. This penalty is multiplied by the Lightning Round Multiplier. Wrong answers in Sheep are not penalized.
- Certain rounds are considered Lightning Rounds (designated by a multiplier, such as ×2). In these rounds, scores are adjusted by the number on the multiplier. A reverse sheep wrong answer gets a +6 penalty in a ×2 round and a +9 penalty in a ×3 round.
- You may not cheat by using Google, Wikipedia, etc. Use only what's in your head.
- You may not cheat by reading other threads about Lost. Use only what's in your head.
- Please send in your answers to me via PM. Place only one answer per line, without numbers or the question itself. Those who do not do this will be penalized 10 points right off the bat.
- For your convenience, I've made an Excel file where you can prepare your answers. When finished, just select the column of answers and send that in as text via PM. Don't email me the Excel file, that would be silly.
- Note: For the "name a character" questions, these should be regular/prominent characters at some point. In general, the person should have a known first and last name, but a few prominent characters don't have one or the other and would still clearly be fine answers and a few characters that wouldn't count have both. As long as it is clear who you are talking about, you don't necessarily have to know their last name; I just don't want anyone like "Red Shirts", "Random Construction Worker #5", "Adam, the Book Club Member", etc).
- Sheep questions are marked by an S:, Reverse Sheep questions are marked by an R:.
- Unique Bonus: Reverse Sheep questions will generate additional bonus (negative) points if there are less than 6 people with unique answers according to the following:
1 Unique is awarded -10
2 Uniques are awarded -8 each
3 Uniques are awarded -6 each
4 Uniques are awarded -4 each
5 Uniques are awarded -2 each
These bonuses are not affected by multipliers.
- There are no equalizer questions, because equalizer questions are dumb. Why should someone be punished for doing well? Why should someone be rewarded for failing miserably?
- The Questions
- S: ×2 Other than "What is in the hatch?", give a Lost mystery.
- R: Name a character that has been the sole focus for the flashbacks (also known as the "featured character") for at least one episode.
- S: At least ten Lost actors or actresses have been arrested or received traffic citations during their time in Hawaii (where Lost is filmed). Name one of those actors or actresses.
- R: There are ten DHARMA Initiative stations. Name one.
- S: Name someone that died on the island, who was not aboard Oceanic Flight 815.
- R: Pick a number, any number. OK not quite any number... Pick one of the Lost numbers.
- S: What is the unanswered question from the show that you would most like to see answered?
- R: Name someone who was a member of the DHARMA Initiative at some point.
- S: Which season of Lost was the worst?
- R: ×2 Name a character from Oceanic Flight 815 that got back to the mainland.
- S: Name a hobby that the survivors did/do to pass the time on the island.
- R: Greg Grunberg, who played the pilot in the pilot, has acted in a number of J.J. Abrams shows or movies. Name one.
- S: ×3 Which Oceanic Flight 815 survivor do you like the least?
- R: Lost finished twelvth in the 2004-2005 television season Neilsen ratings. Name a show that finished with higher season ratings than Lost for the 2004-2005 season.
- S: Which character has had the best flashback sequences?
- R: ×3 Name one of the romantic couples from the show. The couple must contain at least one person from Oceanic Flight 815. The couple does not still have to be together as of now.
- S: Out of the first sixteen questions, which one was the hardest for which to come up with a good answer? Give a number only (1-16) please. Anything else count as not maching anyone.
- R: Name someone who was aboard Oceanic Flight 815 who is either a blood relative or a spouse of someone else from Oceanic Flight 815.
- S: Other than "Doc" and "Freckles", what is a nickname that Sawyer has used for someone?
- R: Name someone who was an Other at some point.
- S: ×2 Other than the first, which season of Lost was the best?
Send your answers to me via private message. Do not post your answers in this thread or tell them to anyone else.

Great questions.
Looking forward to this one. I've been memorizing facts from the Memory Alpha website in preparation.

ok, I'm in!
The Lost game we had last season made it easier for me to remember some details for all but one question, but that one gave me an easy answer for no. 17

I stopped watching Lost at the begining of Season 3 when it got super lame and am planning to get caught up on DVD. In order to avoid spoilers, I'm sitting this one out -- the first Sheep Game I will miss. That makes me sad (see Groucho's signature).

According to my notes you've missed the very original Video Games Sheep and Reverse Sheep Round 2 in Video Games.

In! Last week, I came up with like 10 question ideas and you got almost all of them. That's kinda nuts. I had the traffic violation question as Reverse Sheep though.

I don't know crap about Lost, so I'll skip this and let someone else play.
PS - I've got a Babylon 5 game ready to go. I'll hold off until this one is rolling before doing anything about it. Enjoy!
PPS - Oops, there's already one. Okay, I'll do a follow-up.

In for this round. Awesome idea for a sheep game. Suprised at how hard some questions were for me and I consider myself a LOST junkie.

I'm definitely in for this one. Oh and it's spelled Shephard, even though it looks wrong.
