Eureka premiere - Fri. July 10 - SyFy
I just remembered (thankfully, in time!) that Eureka on SyFy starts tonight. 8pm central time. Great show and I will be glad to have it back. Just thought I'd put a reminder out here for anyone who might have forgotten.

Woo hoo! According to the previews, Carter, who was fired in the last episode, is now job hunting. Should be interesting.

I like Eureka and I hate to say it ...
That was really weak. All the charm was missing.
Robo Sheriff (Plow Guy from Men In Trees) was way too human acting to be believable. All the tech seems way out now. Too much company/town/government politics.
I just want a simple little show with tolerable people and cool little gadgets.

It was so obviously S.A.R.A.H. since she was the only one with confidence to keep repeating that Jack and Zoe were not really going to leave. Could have been disguised better. Other than that, fairly entertaining episode. Hope things return to normal next week now that everyone is staying in town.

I have grown to love the show, and find it to blend some rather touching moments with simplistic comedy. An unassuming, almost quiet show, and one that I thank has been given a fourth season.

I am shocked, but pleasantly so. Maybe the "new direction" at SyFy isn't going to be a complete disaster after all.

Well, I hope they don't do what they did with Season 3 and stretch those 22 episodes out over 2 years. But really its not a shock. They had the cast together again to film those new SyFy promos, and it would seem silly to invite them if you're not renewing the show.
Plus it's done consistently well in the ratings for them, only behind ECW on the channel.

Great episode. I like the new scientist and she is a good fit for Carter. Lots of estrogen in this episode. Maybe it's about time shows balanced the cast gender a little better.
This would have been a better season opener.

Whoever is in charge for product placement in this show should be shot. I thought the "Degree deodorant" fiasco was bad enough last year. But the Subaru pimping tonight took me completely out of the show.
Enough so, that I'm considering giving up on it altogether. The way I see it, if they care so little about their show... why should I?

The product placement doesn't bother me too much. Tonight's was ridiculously blatant, but I thought the writers worked it into the show in an entertaining way.

I can't say I pay too much attention to that. To me it's no different than seeing other products. I just think nothing of it.

Well, I don't mind the Subaru placement since another "nerd" show: Chuck is rumored to have to do it with Subway for their third season.
Shameless and poor taste was when TNT digitally inserted Coke cans into old Law & Order episodes or when I'm fast fowarding through commercials during The Philanthrophist and stop because I think the show is back. Only to realize I stopped on a Bing commerical with some of the actors from that show.
