I thought the Bill and Lorena scenes were a big snoozefest.
Hoyt and Jessica were the highlight of the episode for me. Blood scented candles and "Bleeding Love" playing in the background

Since Andy wasn't affected by the black-eyed orgy, does that mean he is a "supernatural" of some sort? Did anyone catch that since Daphne said that only supernaturals were unaffected?

I loved this episode! Now things are really moving. My question, though, is why the hell did the preachers wife come up and shoot Jason? Is Jason dead? For those that read the books, does he die in the second book?

That would be my guess. Maryann is quite the evil little bitch, I must say, and I love her so!

As to why she shot him, her husband clearly informed her that Jason and Sookie are siblings, and why Sookie was at the church. So she felt very betrayed thinking (like her husband) that Jason was just putting the whole act on, rather than buying into the church BS.

I think Jason was shot with a paintball gun, so he should be okay. From the half-second I saw it, it didn't quite look like a real gun, and the lack of a report, leads me to that conclusion.
The bigger mystery is why Sookie was wearing those Granny panties we saw when Gabe was ripping her clothes off and getting ready to cornhole her.

^ Who doesn't. Between granny panties and thongs who'd choose the granny. And we all know those are the ONLY 2 options

Maybe she was wearing 'Gran' panties...

I wouldn't be surprised. I remember last season as Granny's group meeting in the church when Bill heard Andy's last name he repeated it and paused for a minute. It obviously meant something to him but they never touched on it again.

Andy's only supernatural power seems to be looking like a total drunk even when sober, that is if he has been sober at all this season.

First episode since the season premiere to not feel like it was 2 hours long. Let's hope they can keep the pace going.

That really pissed me off too. It looks like it was presented as just a longer version of next week's preview, but it seemed more like a "this is what happens the rest of the season" thing with as much shit as they showed. Showing what occured with Jason was particularly irritating.

I agree with the promo for next week giving away too much. The ones over the past two weeks have both removed the suspense from what happens to two major characters (last week with Sam, and this week with Jason) who looked like time had run out on them.
