taped this. looking forward to watching it. just saw "Killshot" and i like Jane, especially in "The Punisher", "The Mist" (though i couldn't bear too much of "Mutant Chronicles"). if it has some of the charm of "Californication", but can stand unique then i will be sold.

i liked it. Jane carries this well on his shoulders. the other characters seem disposable as of now, including Tanya. but Jane did well. why couldn't the rest of the cast at least be somewhat appealing though? i mean Anne and Tom produce unattractive, obese twins?

So now that the kids are back with their mom, how long before Ray says "I just want my kids back"?
Good looking parents get ugly kids all the time. It's not that uncommon. It happens the other way around too.

I've gone on and on about these poor kids a lot! Seriously though I loved the show.

I found it to be refreshing. The demographic watching the show doesn't change the fact that this single aspect makes it different than most other shows I turn on right now, regardless of channel.

I liked the ugly kids because they were part of the gag. From what we know, Ray was a good-looking, popular jock who married the homecoming queen. His life turned to crap now and instead of having the prototypical QB/cheerleader offspring, he's stuck with these two uggos.
It's analogous to his life as a whole.

TV ratings: 'Hung' well-endowed for HBO Sunday

"Hung" has HBO feeling the afterglow of Sunday's impressive performance and feeling sanguine about "True Blood's" continued ratings growth.
The cable network's comedy starring Thomas Jane as a cash-strapped coach-turned-gigolo premiered with 2.8 million viewers, becoming HBO's most-watched series debut since "John From Cincinnati," which got a boost from "The Sopranos" series finale in June of 2007.
Adding that to the midnight replay, "Hung" drew a total of 3.7 million viewers for its first night out.
Check out pictures from "Hung" and "True Blood."
"True Blood's" third episode received its own 3.7 million viewers at 9 p.m., which blossomed into 5.1 million once the 11 p.m. replay was through.
In its second season, the vampire drama has been outperforming its freshman season by 38 percent in weekly averages. Its current gross audience of 10.8 million viewers a week includes network airings, HBO On Demand viewership and DVR numbers.

Awesome news. I enjoyed the hell out of Hung and feel i could watch it for many many years if it keeps up its quality. Thomas Jane is so great in this show.
I hope for many more seasons of True Blood and Hung and hopefully they wont have long ass breaks like some other HBo shows in-between seasons.

Holy shit, that pilot was bad. I should watch the next episode because it can only get better. It took me 4 nights to get through the episode (I fell asleep on 3 different attempts). I found every character boring and predictable. I didn't understand the title character's motivation at all. He went from a school teacher to male prostitute in 2.3 seconds...it takes me longer to decide what pair of shoes to wear. The pilot just seemed unfinished and sloppy. Strange editing and a shitty script.
I should have taken my dad's approach and just not watched it because "Why would I want to watch a show about a guy with a big dick?"

The pilot was bad, the ugly kids were good and Anne Heche looked like she should sue her plastic surgeon. I give every show two viewings before I stick with it or let it go.
