I want the BBC America job. "Kitchen Nightmares, Kitchen Nightmares, Kitchen Nightmares, Top Gear, Top Gear, Top Gear".

For about a year straight (and who knows, maybe they still do it, but I don't watch much TV anymore) MTV used to devote all day Saturday and all day Sunday to America's Next Top Model marathons. Literally every weekend.

And with Bravo, whenever they're in full swing with Top Chef or Project Runway, they'd devote the entire day leading up to new episodes of those shows with a day long marathon of the season's episodes up to that point.

You forget of course of the random Star Wars marathon they had the other day what was that for.

The NFL Network is the worst of the worst when it comes to repeat programming. For the whole month of August they will show nothing but meaningless pre-season games.

That was the best thing MTV's shown in years.

Can you imagine how hard it is for him/her to decide what to play on Christmas day every year!

House of Payne

The head of programming for USA Network has it pretty easy also. Ok, it's the weekend, are we gonna show a House marathon or a House marathon.

Unless, of course, they decide to toss a change into the mix, and air an N.C.I.S. marathon...

Which leads us to Bravo and Law and Order.

TLC gets my vote. Nothing but reality shows about families with umpteen kids or dwarfs.

I like Spike better. 24 hours of CSI a day.

I dubbed Spike the CIS Network. Before that it was the Star Trek Network.

Seriously every time I channel surf CSI is on Spike.

MTV2...

Rob & Big all day, everyday. At night, everynight, its Jackass.

The preseason games are a lot more interesting than the constant repeats of "Top 10 Quarterbacks Named Joe" and whatnot...

Another plus for being an MTV programmer: aside from premieres you never have to actually air the programs you sent to be listed in the tv/tivo guides. Sure, you SAID you were going to air that encore of America's Best Dance Crew at 2pm on Saturday for those who missed it... but if you have a change of heart you can just air any other random show instead!

Well you'd have to figure out how to program the five new episode of My Boys they produce every year too.
