It is okay for the P-people to be chasing them, but all those television cameras! They are okay.

Kate is a giant b*tch. holy crap

Holy crap ... I didn't know Jon was DVDTalk member!

I don't get why they are getting so much publicity in the magazines. So one or both of them had an affair? That's never happened before since the dawn of time.

OMG, they have another 39 episodes to go this season. Talk about train-wreck TV.

After 4 seasons, I'm sure many people feel they "know" this family. And how often do you really get to see an entire family implode...live on TV? Even though I believe 75% of all of this drama is strictly for ratings, I am not surprised so many people are paying attention to it.

I've never even heard of this show until about a week ago when I saw the wife and/or husband on the cover of four or five magazines. I thought the woman was a murderer or something until I read about the show.

I think he meant that Jon was browsing DVDTalk from work (like most of us do), which is what got him fired. ;)

I wish they'd split it into 2 shows. One that focuses on the kids and one that focuses on the parents. With the exception of the premier I haven't watched this show in quite a while. Stopped when it started focusing so much on Kate belittling Jon, hair plugs, stainless steel appliances, and tummy tucks.

At this point I wouldn't blame Jon for wanting to get the F out of there. I'm impressed he's made it this long.

Bunch of hillbillies from white trash America making 3 Mil a season? Why are they complaining? Suck it up and do 10 seasons!

I believe the show began originally as half-hour episodes. Last week's 1 hour season premiere probably counted as 2 eps. If they go for 20 weeks @ 1 hour, that adds up to 40.

Tonight's episode has Kate's birthday which she states falls in late March. Last week the sextuplets turned 5 and their birthday is in May.

Are they showing these out of chronological sequence or were the kid's birthdays moved to accommodate a taping schedule.

Edit: Ok, now I see it's actually a repeat broadcast [last season] they are airing right now. New episode is on later. They did repeat last week's ep. just before this one though.

This birthday one is from this season, you can tell by the beginning and there "set" where they do there interviews. I love how Jon just happened to be out of town on her birthday. I guess part of the deal with his free ski trip was having to help the disabled kids.

They should keep doing the show till all the kids become maladjusted adults. Then each of the kids could have eight kids. The show could grow geometrically.

Why weren't they calling that a new episode??? They repeated the "season" premiere then showed Kate's b-day ep. all the while promoting the "new episode up next".

I don't know what's more pathetic...the fact that this show even exists in the first place, or the fact that there are over 90 posts in this thread, with some of you actually arguing about these nobodies. Are you fucking kidding me?

Then why are you posting about it ?? :crap:

It is far from some of the worst on tv...

It was an interesting show in the beginning, what is 'pathetic' about showing a young couple dealing with 8 kids, 6 of them newborns ? It wasn't always the fiasco that it is now, although I always thought Jon wasn't a very happy man around that house.

Re: Anybody worried about JON AND KATE PLUS 8?

The problem is that if you give one kid a drink, they all want a drink. I have two kids and that's exactly what would happen. So once you've got them all seated to do satellite inteviews (which is what that looks like) it would probably be hard to get them to all sit again.

That said, these kids shouldn't even be IN a situation where they have to sit still for sat interviews. That blame falls squarely on Jon, Kate, (and the producers, advertisers and the millions of viewers.)

But I admit - I'm a dude, and I still watch this show. Why? Cuz I got 2 kids and it's hard enuff as it is - I like to see how they do it.

I did just fine as a single dad with one, and all I ever watched with parents and kids was "Leave it to Beaver," "Father Knows Best," "The Brady Bunch," and "The Partridge Family."

Oh, and all those cartoons where Sylvester got trounced by the baby kangaroo while his son watched in disgust.
