I LOVED the ending number. The show itself tried to cram a bit too much in the middle and some of it felt uneven. But I think any music-loving viewers who stayed to the end would tune in again. The main girl can really sing. And the teacher's wife was hilarious.
Anyway, I'll be back. Definitely a cross between Freaks & Geeks and High School Musical (the latter which is what I'm sure they wanted to mirror, but for an older audience).

I enjoyed the pilot and am looking forward to the series in the fall. I always am looking for more light, fluffy shows to offset all the crime dramas.

It was OK for a pilot episode. Maybe I had a hard time relating, but I found I didn't care much about whether the glee club stayed or went.
I liked it more towards the end, but then my DVR cut off in the middle of the last song (thanks AI).
So it's just this one episode until the fall?

The main girl is fantastic - great voice. Loved the music, thought it was awesome and will get me to tune in when this comes back. I thought the show was wildly uneven though... lots of things didn't work at all and the strange editing in the first part was kind of jarring and lackluster.... but it's a pilot, so I have faith that they'll work the kinks out for the other eps (the previews for the season looked great).

the lead girl kind of reminded of Idina Menzel (when singing) Most of these actors that are playing teenagers are surprisingly much older, just imdb all the kids on Friday Night Lights and you'll be quite amazed.
it's gonna be a looooong summer. Might as well rewatch the first season of 'Fame' before then.

I went in thinking this was going to be really good or really bad. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was really funny and had lots of good moments. Hope the series maintains the same quality as the pilot.

Is that really them singing, though? seems like the dubbed the voices anyway, so I wasn't sure.
Didn't it seem like the club was better off without the teacher anyway? I'm sure they would've lost the room without the $60 bucks... and I have no idea where they're going with the teacher's marriage. Will the baby turn out to not be his?
Enjoyed it, but like others my DVR cut out because Idol went long, and I'll probably forget about it since it's not on for a while. Seems like a really odd move to hype the heck out of this preview, but not have the rest of the series debut for a while. What's the thinking behind a promotion like this?

I wonder if the producers of the show have ironed out all the music rights issue when and if this gets released onto home video.

My daughter and loved the last song in the show.
I recorded the show onto my pc and we watched the song about 15 more times.
WOW! That girl can really sing and her joy of dancing/entertaining is enjoyable to watch.

Several of the actors are Broadway stars. The teacher played Link in Hairspray and the hot girl was in Spring Awakening. (And you got to see her boobies

Loved it. As a former show choir performer myself (and we did the "good show choir" level of stuff) it was pretty frickin' awesome. I bought the songs on the way to work today and can't wait for the series.
I love anything that gives attention to choir like this. When programs are getting eliminated across the country in favor of "moneymakers" like sports, it's refreshing to see this (and High School Musical helped there too) so I will support the hell out of it.

Honestly this wasn't bad but it was all over the place and needs to be tightened up a little bit. It felt like it wanted to be an hour long comedy but strayed away from that. I think I will give it a chance plus it is a show I can watch with the girl because she will probably like it too.

Holy shit....that show is a hit! And it gives me reason to watch network TV this fall.
I agree with all the comments from you guys...this is a great show. I have not had the feeling of chills since The Shield pilot (and The Black Donnellys pilot) where I knew I was watching something amazing. Does it need a little work, sure what show doesn't? But I am all over this one this fall.

Your question has already been answered, but yes. It was a midseason replacement, but they pushed it back to the fall and just showed this episode as a sneak peek.

I just downloaded this to my ipod so the girl can watch it. Usually I hate anything remotely like a musical (except The producers) but this interested me and that last number was very good. Show needs more Journey
