President Taylor has proven to be one of the best parts of this season. Her unwillingness to give in and her resolve to always do the right thing are refreshing. She is definitely one of my favourite characters and I look forward to seeing more of her next season.

Awesome season. Just awesome.
They actually did it: they managed NOT to screw up the finale. It was perfect.
They tied up the season REALLY well, and left a lot open for next season. I'm relieved Tony is still alive as well, and Kim refused to let Jack die.
This season ranks up with the first and five for me as the best in 24, but I think this one will have a lot of replay value.

Man what an awesome final two hours. This has been one of the best seasons of 24. They got me and probably some other fans to finally like Kim. It felt like they may have ended up killing Jack and have Renee step in his place. But I knew they would never kill Jack off. I would stop watching if that were to happen. The whole Tony thing now makes some sense, but I still hate how they kept changing his role of good guy or bad guy.
So glad that bitch presidents daughter is getting what she deserves. But now the President has no family support. That was pretty sad scene. She's turned out to be one of my favorite Presidents.
Great season overall. Lets just hope they dont screw up season 8.

For a minute there I thought that Renee was going to...
But that still might have happened.
Just kidding...

Again, bravo to this season. It was just all-around fantastic.

I just love how the perma-smirk on Will Patton's face melted away when Renee walked into the interrogation room.

It didn't melt away; that's what made it so good. Will Patton's smirk to Agent Walker in that scene sold the finale for me. It said a thousand words, but mostly: "Let's see what you got." He is such a fantastic actor.

Tony actually came across as sympathetic again, which is an amazing job by the writers.

I'm impressed that they gave themselves plenty of chances to screw it up and they dodged it. I was shocked the cops Kim found while she was chasing the bad guy were really cops and not bad guys that kidnapped her.

Good finale. Tony's (third?)turn was predictable, but it still worked. But c'mon already! How many damn people were involved in the Season 5 conspiracy? First it was Walt Cummings. Then we find out Christopher Henderson was running the show. Then we find out Charles Logan was giving him orders. Then we find out Logan was conspiring with a bluetooth gang. Then we find out the head of the bluetooth gang is Jack's brother. Then we find out Jack's brother is working for Jack's father. And now we find out this Alan Wilson dude was behind the whole thing. Or is he? Enough already!
The rest of the 2 hours was solid though. Kim was resourceful instead of dumb. Renee completed her transformation into Rack Bauer. President Taylor stuck to her principles even if it cost her everyone she loved. Even David Palmer was willing to bend the rules every now and then. And thankfully they didn't kill Tony or Aaron Pierce.
I'm surprised at all the loose ends. I know they're aware the show is coming back for an 8th season, but they never leave this many unresolved storylines in 24. Maybe Season 8 won't be jumping ahead very far timewise. Which would be good since Jack is already in his early 50's.

I <3 Renee on the running board of the SUV. The "Jack ass-kicking the doctors" scene was classic. And I honestly thought Martin was going to pop up and cap Ethan while he was listening to the recording in his car, but I'm glad they didn't do that.
So many random things about the epi I loved, but all-in-all it was just a great wrap to a fantastic season.

That's how it looked at first but it definitely faltered as she entered the room. It's as if he was so sure her hands were tied but then surprised she was gonna take him on. I didn't take it as fear but rather surprise at the fact that she has a pair.
I just hope they make full use of Will Patton next season and don't kill him off during the first quarter. Hell, I'd like to see him as the main villain for a whole season. Has that ever happened before? I can't remember.

I absolutely LOVED how the airport scene and Kim Bauer plot played out.
As soon as Tony requested a meeting with Will Patton I knew he was going to kill him. I was ready to accept him as a true villain, I just didn't think the writers had the balls to do such a disservice to the character and I'm glad they didn't. I liked that Tony was just dead inside and just didn't care.
Ethan turned out to be an excellent character and I'll be glad if he returns, as well as President Taylor. They along with Aaron were amazing. Olivia gave us a new Sherri Palmer to hate, which was fun.
I did think the final half hour dragged a bit. They shot their wad early. However, I loved the final scenes, Renee closing the door on the camera? Awesome. And Kim by her dad's side was the perfect way to end.
It was good to see Dr. Carson Beckett again, even if it was briefly. That's, what, the third Stargate Alum to show up in the past 3 seasons? Tomin, the sleezebag TV producer/reporter Olivia slept with, and of course Daniel Jackson in season 5. I'm ready to see Teal'c in the secret service next year.
That's what was so amazing to me. The unborn child thing came out of nowhere, right? With Renee and Tony we got to see Jack in various forms. Renee is the young fresh faced Jack while Tony embodied the Jack that could have been had he let Terri's death eat at him.

That was refreshingly low-key. And it gets more satisfying the more I think about it.

I did like the fact that Tony was redeemed slightly though. He wasn't evil...just bat-shit crazy.
