Twenty Four (24) -- 2 Hour Season Finale -- "6:00am to 8:00am" -- 5/18/09

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
The DVD for season 7 comes out Tuesday as well.
Really looking forward to seeing how season 7 wraps up. The previews did look really promising.
Also, if you are really familiar with the behind the scenes aspects of 24, these are the last 2 episodes directed by Jon Cassar, who has been with the show since season 2. He quit the show after season 7 wrapped to work on other projects. Brad Turner will be taking over as the primary director next season.

Really? It's the finale already tonight? Man, this season went by fast. I thought we still had a few left. Guess Kim won't be in trouble for more than a couple hours then.

I just got a chance to catch up on the last two eps this weekend. Looks like another promising ending is in sight for this season.
I really don't know why Jack didn't just tell Kim that an FBI agent will be escorting her to the airport. Seems a little irrational to have him tail her under cover.
I thought the scene where Jack just let Tony have it was one of the best moments in 24 history. I'm really hoping for an interrogation scene between Jack and Tony.

I'm excited! Can't believe season is almost over. I also started following Cassar, Rajskub, James Morrison, and Wersching on Twitter. I usually hate social networking, but this Twittering 24 celebs is kinda cool.
Wersching is fun to follow. She said she was bored on Good Day NY this morning...haha

Agreed! Last season was probably the lowest 24 had ever dipped. Of course, I also said that after season 4, and the next season was one of the best for the show. It seems that 24 has gotten itself into the every other season syndrome. But as long as they continue to bounce back, I'll be around!

Wow. I take it back. Kim has finally shown some smarts (quick reacting and refusing to let herself be taken) and they didn't waste any time with her being "held hostage." Kudos 24 staff, kudos. My faith faltered, but it is fully restored. Nice twist that seems to be happening now; Jack in trouble and Kim having to chase a bad guy to help save her father.
If they lose him, they lose Jack.
If they lose him, they lose Jack.

Well this is certainly a nice change of pace; Kim Bauer actually helping the situation rather than hurting it. She is being resourceful, using common sense, and getting the job done. My hat is off to the writers for not mucking this up; they totally had me believe this would be a rehashing of Season 1 with Jack rescuing Kim, but they have turned it around and done the complete opposite. This season's perfection lives on.
Gotta love Ethan giving Olivia a fake chip. Although I suspect he is not long for this world.
EDIT: We all knew Jack was going to make a break the moment they unstrapped him and take out the guys with the scalpel, but that was still one helluva scene nonetheless.

So Tony isn't completely bad, in the sense that he is trying to stop one of the heads of the bad guys...and yet, he is willing to kill innocent people to get revenge. Interesting; definitely didn't see it coming, that's for sure. In hindsight, that actually fixes some of the problems I had with him being bad, then turning good, then going bad. Everything he does is to get this Wilson guy to come see him; he just happened to be able to save lives in the process, but if someone got in his way he didn't hesitate to kill them.
...that was so sad.

President Taylor better do the right thing (and by right thing I mean prosecute her daughter).
I actually liked the scene with Jack and the imam. It's nice to see Jack struggle with his inner demons and realize that he has made so many mistakes; for all his strengths when he is in the field, it's good to see him reveal a weaker side. Him sharing the moment with the imam is also a good way of seeing just how alone Jack really is; his daughter cares about him, but he doesn't want her to see him like that. All his friends (except Chloe) are dead. He's pretty alone, and the only person he could think to turn to is someone he just happened to meet that he shared a moment with. Pretty sad stuff.
