Could care less for Noth, but I loves me some Anabella. I Replay the show regardless.

I am only in it for Goren. I usually watch the Noth and Sciorra episodes too out of habit, but if I miss them, I am not too concerned. I like Noth and thought I would continue liking him on the show, but I don't think those 2 work well together imho. Besides, as stated, I am really just in it for Goren. No head tilt = no sale.

Shit, Goren would've flipped Whoopi so fast her wig would've blown off.

So...do they team up next week and is it a continuation?

Was the ending to the episode left open on purpose (is Whoopi coming back or something)? I am sure this story will come up again (next season?) because of the whole "shooting" incident. I don't believe the shooting came up in the previews for next week. If it doesn't - talk about "unresolved storylines".

----

I like Sciorra but I don't think she is as good as Erbe (playing a cop at least). I like both D'Onofrio and Noth, though.

I missed the very end when the four leads were talking after Whoopi had lawyered up. What was said?

Also, I only watch the Noth episodes, because it's pretty annoying to watch Goren pull a rabbit out of his hat when it comes to piecing together what little evidence he has, then getting the suspect to confess while the defense lawyer just sits there quietly like an idiot.

I have a bad memory (as I didn't DVR the episode), but here's what I remember -can't recall exact dialogue. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Spoiler:
They are talking about Whoopi's character and they hear a commotion outside. The son that had the weapons in his car and fingered Whoopi is dead on the ground from a window jump.

Deakins also gets a call about the shooting incident and it's aftermath (supposedly "dirty" investigation tactics) and he needs to come down to (somewhere) to talk about it.

Like I said, hopefully someone else will chime in.

The previews didn't show Whoopi and it mentioned two seperate cases. I got the impression it was 2 seperate eps with the investigation of Capt. Deakins being the thing tying them together.

The previews made it look like it would be another two-hour team-up.

I'm only watching "On Fire" but surprised to see
Spoiler:
Captain Deakins leave.
Well, I shouldn't say I'm surprised since it is Law & Order.

Didn't mind the new captain but there was something different about this episode. Seemed darker than it had been previously. Also, what happened to Carver? I know they want to cut costs, but I liked that character...

The difference seems to be (and I'm only about half through), that it's only from the perspective of the police. On CI they usually focus some part of the show on the perps.

Carver got the ax, so he's gone. I thought they recast the part, but maybe I'm wrong.

Watched this, and the season premiere of SVU, and both placed one their two leads in physical jeapardy. I hope it was simply revving up the action for premiere episodes, not a new direction.

I like Marcia Gay Harden's character on SVU. I'd like to see more of her.

anyone else thinking....

what about Blind Spot last night. I am a fan of the show, last night was super. One of the best dontcha think? When Bob jimmys Eames trunk open and the body is there and he pulls back the sheet to see the face. Huge drama. And at the end when he sits by her bed. And who the killer turned out to be and why she did it. The story wove together in a way that was sure and had so many elements of good drama. I just loved it.

My wife totally felt this episode was disturbing. Have to admit that I agree, it felt more like an SVU episode (from the few episodes we've seen). Something was definitely different thematically about this episode besides the casting changes. I'm really hoping it gets back to normal with the Goren and Eames episodes. Personally I don't care too much for the newer Logan episodes. Liked his first tour of duty better.

Does anyone have more details regarding Carter's departure? Did the character get the ax? or the actor (Courtney B. Vance sp?)? We weren't watching religiously last season, but more on the summer reruns and I must have missed that one.

I hope USA HD is part of the new pushed HD channels for DirecTV. I can't remember if they are.

I’m glad Law & Order: CI is returning and having a chance on another network, were it’s popular already in syndication on the USA Network.

I think L&O: CI was the best out of the three Law & Order’s last season. The OR Law & Order hasn’t been good for the past couple of seasons & this season was its worst yet in my opinion. Law & Order: SVU was good this season but I just didn’t enjoy it has much as previous seasons.
