Ok now I've read the whole thread. I will continue to watch, since he is in half and Anabella is in half.
I have always liked Vincent in everything I've seen him in. Even if I hate some of his politics, he is a great actor. Cell, Full Metal Jacket, Dangerous Life of Alterboys, Happy Accidents...

So much for holding out hope for Gillian Anderson or Sarah Clarke.
I wonder if they'll actually try to explain how a homicide detective who was DEMOTED ends up doing major cases.

Actually, D'Onofrio was hospitalized at least once (if not more than) for exhaustion completely shutting down production (since he's basically the show).

A little tidbit in regards to the new character to be played by Annabella Sciorra...
The novel, time-sharing arrangement for "Criminal Intent" came about in February, after Noth filmed a guest spot on the show. D'Onofrio was hospitalized last fall after twice suffering fainting spells, which "L&O" creator/executive producer Dick Wolf attributed to D'Onofrio's heavy workload on the series. Having Noth shoulder some of that load, he said at the time, "is an ideal solution so that Vincent can continue to do the incredible work that has become the hallmark of the role."
Sciorra's character, "Criminal Intent" executive producer Rene Balcer says, is a "brilliant criminal profiler" who has worked for the FBI as well as the NYPD and joins Logan on the Major Case Squad. "Barek is as surprising, intuitive and razor-sharp as the talented actress who plays her," Balcer adds.

... and Tom Delay got pissed.
DeLay angered by 'Law & Order' mention
Take it easy Delay... it's fiction.
Edit to add: I did not watch this ep, I was busy with Lost and American Idol that evening.
DeLay angered by 'Law & Order' mention
The controversy centers around Wednesday's episode in which a police officer investigating a murder of a federal judge suggested putting out an all points bulletin for "somebody in a Tom DeLay T-shirt."
Edit to add: I did not watch this ep, I was busy with Lost and American Idol that evening.

"Every week, approximately 100 million people see an episode of the branded 'Law & Order' series. Up until today, it was my impression that all of our viewers understood that these shows are works of fiction as is stated in each episode.
"But I do congratulate Congressman DeLay for switching the spotlight from his own problems to an episode of a TV show."

I post the heads up thread and then I forgot to change channels from fight club on fx until 10:15
seemed like a "dc snipers go after judges" ripped from the headlines story so I don't think I missed too much

This was only the second episode of CI that I've ever seen but I'm guessing that character has been on before? Anyone want to fill me in on her backstory? Next week we'll get more Logan right?

I'm confused. I thought they killed her last year. She was on a medical examiner's table, dead after that hostage situation.

Apparently some timezones got the ending were Wallace dies, and some got the ending were she lived, which is the one that ended up winning the majority of the vote on NBC.com.

I knew that was a stupid idea for an episode originally
now that I'm hearing that they couldn't even sync up the broadcasts so that everyone got the same thing it's an even dumber idea
