Law & Order: Criminal Intent

I heard that Dick Wolfe wanted to bring Cabot back every once in awhile in a guest role, so I'm wondering if she really dies or not...

I haven't seen every episode but I don't remember him.
The only criminal that I can remember that's made more then one apperance was Olivia D'Abo's character that showed up twice last season.

Law and Order CI 11/14
one of the actresses from Rescue Me was on
I finally decided for sure that if I was a cop on this show the male detective would be getting another blanket party, ala Full Metal Jacket. His character totally came off as a condenscending prick at the begining when the other detective had the case when the body was found in the park
And I'm bit confused how a thermal image would show something buried that would be at the same temp as the surrounding dirt as it had been buried for a while

Law & Order: CI casting rumor
from tvguide.com
BIG CHANGES: Rumors are flying that Law & Order star Chris Noth is poised to replace troubled Vincent D'Onofrio on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. According to a report in Broadcasting & Cable magazine, L&O creator Dick Wolf is considering Noth as a possible successor to D'Onofrio, who, in addition to his recent health problems, has long had a reputation for being a handful to work with. And kinda scary to boot.

Very interesting. I'll be the first one to say that although I like Chris Noth, he won't bring the same depth as D'Onofrio has brought so far on the show

D'Onofrio is CI. With him, CI is appointment tv for me.
Without him (and especially with Noth) it would be just another L&O series, and well down the list...

Now, this would have nothing to do with CI getting its ass kicked by Desperate Housewives, would it.......?

D'Onofrio's character is a pompous ass
not necessarily saying he is, as it's probably how the part is written

ok, condescending probably would have been better
one example was the other week when the lady was found in the park and another detective had the case at first but goren immediately questioned everything the guy had done. and he constantly acts like a know it all

Agreed. Noth is a sub-par actor at best. He was boring in the original, I can't imagine him being any better in CI.

Man, I can think of a lot of words to describe Mike Logan in the original series and boring is pretty far down on the list.CI would definitely be a different show with Logan instead of Goren. Not better or worse... just different.
