At this point, I'm hoping for a Tony-Jack showdown with Jack succumbing to his illness again and Chloe stepping in and blowing away Almeida to save Jack.

I'm sure they could get some Redskin tailgaters at 7AM.
When Jack mentioned Palmer last night, my hopes enhanced that he'll get a hallucinatory visit from him before the season ends. Meaning David, not Wayne.

Honestly, I think this hour was used mainly to set up the plot points for next season. No way do I believe Jack's going to bring down this entire organization in the next 4 hours. At best, he'll stop the attack (or not--this is 24 LOL) and next season will be about him and Renee taking down the remaining members of the quorum.

But to do it right, you have to hear a gun shot while the camera is pointed at Jack. Jack feels around: "where am I hit?" Cut back to Tony, who slowly falls down to reveal Chloe standing behind him with a smoking gun.

They'll sneak it into the capitol building to take out all the members of congress. In hour 24, just as the hearings are about to reconvene at 8am, Jack saves all their lives by preventing the attack. Next season a fully funded CTU to track down the organization behind the attack.

I read what people said about Tony perhaps being good and the response, and it just doesn't seem plausible that he is still a good guy in all of this. If that is the case, and he was bad all along, I fail to see why he even helped the FBI in the first place or was working with Bill and Chloe and later Jack.
But if he is good, then it doesn't make sense why he killed Larry and the other FBI agents. And it definitely isn't a simple "protecting your cover" reason. They need to explain this otherwise the season isn't going to make much sense.

There is no way Tony can be flipped back to good after killing Larry, no way

maybe tony is doing a little evil to do a lot of good. I seriously don't think tony is willing to kill thousands of americans. if killing a few fbi agents to get to the bigger picture is needed, then it's all good. this after all the crazy events in the day that mysteriously aligned perfectly for tony to be where the canisters were. which made no sense at all. but still a good season none the less. i hope tony can be saved. if he dies, we would have lost bill and tony this season. leaving just chloe for next season and she's only good in small doses.

I think they might be going that way though, having Tony "turn evil" for the sake of taking down this organization. But then you have to wonder why, of all people, he didn't just tell Jack.

I think Jack and Walker will find Tony and the canister and Tony will super glue the canister to agent Walkers hand. And then Jack will have to cut her arm off and toss the canister in a cooler to save the day. And then arrest tony.

I really am enjoying this season, but I've said it before, and I'll say it again, BIG mistake to bring Tony back from the dead just to kill him off again after one season. "24" is better with Jack AND Tony in it... I'm going to be sad to see Tony killed off, or put in jail and not part of the show in future seasons.

Okay, there's NO way Tony is working to bring down this organization. No way. I thought that for a second when Chloe was indignant at the news, like she was about to say what he was really up to, but he's killed Larry, 2 other FBI agents, crashed two airplanes killing hundreds, and tried to kill scores more. When Jack said "The Tony we knew died a long time ago" or something like that, it was true. I'm okay with that.
Just please, please, please don't kill off Jonas. He sooo needs a bullet in the head as a send off.
I loved when the CTU servers came online and took over all the FBI monitors. Loved all the scenes with Chloe, and Jack's total meltdown at the end of the episode. I'm so glad this season has redeemed the show.

The group's goal is to have the American people realize that the government can't protect them. So this can better be accomplished by dispersing a cannister in one area instead of firing 13 missiles containing the virus all over the country?
Maybe they should have let Hodges do what he wanted to do.
