I think Nana should take over as CEO. She had some good points.

I'm kinda digging the Jim story line. The fact that he's been coasting on his charms for this long is finally starting to catch up to him. It'll be interesting to see if he takes this opportunity to grow a bit.
Yeah, when did Michael get an investor, when did he buy paper, how's it being delivered, what's he paying Pam and Ryan?

I must admit that I wondered where he was getting his paper from - he's basically a middleman.

I thought that instead of Michael hearing the bathroom above him it would be Toby's cubicle

Why can't he get it from the same place DM gets theirs? They do the same thing.

Doesn't DM make their own paper?

Sounds like the company I work for. They may buy paper and then brand it with their logo.

Nope. If you have streaming Netflix or the DVDs, check out the "Take Your Daughter To Work Day" episode.

The way his character has developed over the last few seasons into an almost cartoon-like extreme ass is one of the areas where the show has lost some believability for me.

I can totally relate to Ryan. He reminds me of my BIL, who is essentially a bank teller, but thinks he is hot shit. The phone conversations at MSPC sounded just like things you would here being around him.

I have a feeling that they're building to something. My guess is that Charles fires Jim (who is hired by Michael), finds out about the Blue Cross discount and tries to revoke it, Blue Cross walks and is picked up by Jim at Michael Scott, they move into the former Prince Paper offices, Charles eventually gets shitcanned by DM, and DM tries to merge with Michael Scott who refuses that offer stupidly but instead takes his old job back.

The first episode was decent but the second was good stuff. The jam between Dwight and Andy had me rolling. The Lady Gaga opening was perfect too.

Did anyone else notice in the last 30 second snippet of the 2nd episode when it was Oscar and Angela sitting together Oscar was drinking out of his own NBC mug with his face on it? Classic

Yup, I agree that Blue Cross will come back into the picture by season's end.

I don't quite get what happened after Jim tried to give his "rundown" to the boss. Who did Charles tell him to send it to?

He told him to forward it to the list, probably upper management, but Jim, like the viewer, has no idea who he meant. Probably one of those things he should have known but never had to worry about before.

Kelly made them for her America's Got Talent finale party. In that episode, Jim and Dwight couldn't figure out why they were getting bad reviews, but figured out that Kelly was making them look bad to Michael because they didn't come to her party. The things I remember.....

More likely, one of the things Miner should have explained but didn't bother to, kind of like what a "rundown" is. It's perfectly possible that there is no distribution list at all, and Miner just thinks there is.

Speaking in meaningless jargon is one of the things that make Miner a really terrible manager.

I think it's a big janitorial closet. Since janitors sometimes work with harsh cleaning materials they will sometimes have one of those safety showers to immediately douse themselves should they come into contact with them.

Next to Kevin's reaction to Kelly's middle name, this might have been my favorite part of either episode. The entire "small amount of blood rushed to your penis," had me ROLLING and then Stanley's subtle reaction was gold!

In the season 3 episode The Convention, I could swear that Michael strikes a deal with HammerMill to have them provide Dunder Mifflin paper. Someone says that they are exclusive to Staples and Michael says he has struck a deal with them. So yep, they don't produce their own paper me thinks.

Re: The Office -- "Dream Team/The Michael Scott Paper Company" -- 04/09/09

The more I thought about it, the more it bothered me that Miner allowed, much less, initiated soccer talk in the office. It seemed like a break in character for him to talk about something other than work. Not a big deal as I know it set up the further debasement of Jim, it just kind of stuck out to me.
