Yeah, this. Sorry -- I was working from memory as I had already deleted the episode.

To those sensitive to anything being mentioned from the scenes from next week, my DVR cut those off this week so I didn't see them at all.

I wonder if this is 2008 Ben traveling back to the 1970's
since he's only a kid back then and this is certainly '70's clothes.

This looks like a 40-year old Ben in the 1970's.

If that's from a future episode, buddy, you'd best put that in spoiler tags.

As I just discussed in another thread, I don't care. Others will.

^^ NO, that is NOT from a future episode. That's from Eggtown, I believe, when we first see his secret hideaway within the hideaway and Miles asks Ben for 3.2 million dollars.

It's Confirmed Dead when Miles shows everyone who they're after.

the whole point in that showdown was for ben to come across as "hey john! i saved your life again". he was just playing locke and caeser. Ben played and set up caeser into thinking locke was trouble. he knew caeser would try to pull out the shotgun on locke and he was right. all this so he could play the hero and gain locke's trust again. ben is a mastermind. but since the rebirth of locke, john has been wiser and has the knowledge of the island and therefore, one step ahead of ben. I also love how ben is in the dark like the locke of old. I love the new locke. thankfully penny and des survived. best episode this season. imo, the episodes not involving jack and company are so much better. more stuff got answered in this episode than the ones with jack, sawyer, ect...now we just need faraday to show up. i take it that charles had penny with an outsider and had daniel with eloise.

I just saw it as a way of them figuring out who was with them. Maybe Widmore's people were thrown together quickly when Ben made that call to him and thus didn't get a chance to organize?

He has his own agenda, he told 3 different stories about Locke's revival. That he knew it would happen, that he didn't know it would happen, and that it didn't happen.

I think it's obvious that Ben recognized these people again. Way back when Ben told Michael to bring Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley to him. Did we ever find out why those people? And his infatuation with Juliet too.

That doesn't look like a 1970's monitor

LOST:

The show with the stupidest characters in the history of television. Every episode is rife with moments where you just want to smash some character in the face for being so painfully idiotic. Last night's winner:

Sun responding with incredulity at the notion of Locke's resurrection. "That's impossible!" Really? After everything you've seen on the island and after your husband has time-traveled into the past, you're really that skeptical about ANYTHING?

Highly enjoyable eppie, however.

Re: Lost -- "Dead is Dead" -- 04/08/09

Guys...c'mon. No one actually believes that when Ben's character was introduced and met Sawyer for the first time that the writers knew they had met before. The Ben we know was shot (he remembers going to the temple to be healed) and should remember the three years of his life prior, even if he doesn't remember who shot him.

The show is enjoyable enough but it is being made up as it goes along, no doubt in my mind.

In one of Juliet's first episodes don't one of the others say "she looks just like her." I have that in my brain for some reason.

I want the series DVDs.

When Ben told Sun "Perhaps you should look outside" I was half expecting him to whack her with an oar.

I don't think Caesar is dead. Even with a shotgun blast to the chest.

You don't introduce a new character and kill him like that. What would be the point? But, maybe I'm wrong.

I wouldn't mind if he was a goner. They gave him no backstory. I think he served his purpose. Didn't like him much anyway.

Re: Lost -- "Dead is Dead" -- 04/08/09

So, what's up with the Ajira crew. Who are they working for?

It looked like they were getting ready for some sort of mission and Lapidus shows up and they ask him some sort of code word?

Are they working for Widmore and the correct answer to the question is what identifies you as working for Widmore?

Re: Lost -- "Dead is Dead" -- 04/08/09

Alright I need to ask since I did not notice it said by anyone else. How do we know that Ellie cannot be Penny's mother now? Could Ellie herself perhaps left the island before Widmore but he continued the relationship when he was not supposed to? Or did I miss something that Ellie fro sure has not yet left the island before Widmore is banished.

Overall was a great episode and one that answered so many questions. Based on the previews, next week cannot come soon enough. Looks like we will get even more answers for sure.
